Vargas Stage 1 N55 turbo upgrade is good up to 425whp with proper tuning and high grade fuel. Vargas N55 turbo is an all-new turbo specially made for Vargas. They build it with a billet compressor wheel of their own design and a stock turbine. It will accept all of the stock water and oil lines and the original diverter valve (upgraded DV is recommended). This kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for the original turbo and necessary if you want to start making big power from the N55.

The stock plastic diverter valve and chargepipe is the weakest point for boost leaks (the plastic cracks). Vargas Turbo recommends upgrading it to a stronger DV design. The aluminum DV designs will hold up to just about any boost level currently available.

Vargas Turbo Technologies has been in business since 1979, offering rebuilt and re-engineered turbo solutions. For the BMW market, they identified a need for both cost-effective turbo replacements and proven turbo upgrades. It's recommended that the rest of the system be upgraded to handle your tuning goals. The final Vargas rebuilt turbos are better than the factory rebuilds and at a lower cost!

Oil Recommendation - modern engine oil is formulated for emissions and to be environmentally friendly. The additives in current oil lowers the oil's ability to withstand high temperatures and stresses, lowering its shear strength and its lubricating properties. Vargas recommends oils with high ZDDP (zinc and phosphorus) content that will better protect and cool the turbo bearings. Examples of high-zinc oils are Red Line Race, Red Line Euro, Motul 300V Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, Valvoline VR-1 oil, and most Diesel-spec oils that you can buy off-the-shelf. Some oils, especially the Race type, will need more frequent oil changes and may be harmful to catalytic converters.

WHP rating: 425. This rating is used to compare various stage of Vargas turbo kits. There is no advertised horsepower gain with this kit as it depends on your other mods and tuning. The rating is provided as a reference to use in your tuning planning. Custom tuning is recommended to match thIS turbo to your existing mods and upgrades.

This is a complete plug and play solution to replace your stock Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) with a new E85 certified bucketless assembly.

This solution provides up to 25% more flow than our standard Stage 2 LPFP upgrade and up to 150% more flow than the stock pump.

This pump will support up to 550whp running 85% ethanol and 600whp running 50% ethanol.

The Stage 2 bucketless kit includes the following:

- A custom anodized billet fitting for the pump output and stock fuel line connection.
- Our custom billet aluminum anodized bracket for the pump and float assembly
- Two cotter pins to secure your float assembly
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

If you still need more flow, the Stage 3 upgrade is also available and can be added to your Stage 2 bucketless pump.

The Stage 3 upgrade kit includes:

- A complete plug and play solution by simply adding the secondary module
- Our custom billet aluminum fitting to run both pumps in parallel
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Wiring harness for the secondary pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

Recommended accessories:
- Lock Ring Removal Tool
- Hobb's switch
NOTE: These kits include a basic filter assembly. When using this filter, running the vehicle under low fuel conditions can cause fuel starvation issues. If you do hard straight line accelerations when you have less than 1/8 tank of fuel, we would recommend running our standard Stage 2, 3, or Stage 4 pump. In addition, if you intend to use this for road course applications, you may see starvation issues when running less than a half tank and doing long high G right turns. Again for those applications we'd recommend one of our standard pump applications.

Standard Kit Includes: A brand new OEM LPFP bucket that is upgraded with a new Walbro 450 or 525 pump and filter. A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump (F90000274) that flows 50% more fuel than stock Optional A new E85 compatible Walbro 525 pump (F90000285) that flows 65% more fuel than stock NOTE: Owners with I-Drive may get a Fuel pump warning on the screen that says "Continued driving is possible. Have the system checked by your BMW center as soon as possible." As long as the car is running fine and does not exhibit any other symptoms, there is not an issue with the pump and this can be ignored. Upgraded pumps pull more current, so if your EKP (LPFP control module) is weak, it may overheat causing it to shut down and need to be replaced. This is a complete plug and play kit to install a Bluetooth ethanol sensor in your E-Series BMW. (Check compatibility for your platform below) This kit replaces the stock fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine bay with an upgrade -6an E85 compatible fuel line and adds an ethanol sensor and Bluetooth analyzer to monitor your ethanol content. This kit features a 0-5 volt analog output that integrates with the JB4, analog gauge, or any other ECU or tuner that supports 0-5 volt input. All of these kits utilize a custom billet aluminum fittings to integrate with the stock fittings so no modifications are needed. For your fuel line upgrade, choose the option that supports your current configuration. HPFP to the fuel tank: (Stock) This upgrade replaces both stock fuel lines with one upgraded continuous fuel line from the fuel tank to the HPFP and adds the ethanol sensor. Port Injection to the fuel tank: If you are running our port injection kit, this upgrade replaces the stock fuel lines from the tank to the engine bay, integrates the ethanol sensor and then utilizes a Y adapter to supply the HPFP and PI with fuel. Our custom fittings remove those tee's and extra fittings for a cleaner high flow setup. Non-Fuel-It! port injection to fuel tank: Choose this option if you are running a port injection kit that we did not manufacture or sell.
