If you encounter fuel pressure loss or starting issues despite a functioning engine and spark, consider replacing this unit—a common culprit in such situations. This fuel pressure pump with a level sensor, mounted inside the fuel tank, is the solution to restore your Mini's engine operation.

It's an effective method to diagnose a faulty rear fuel pump when there's a front High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) in place. Simply check if you can hear the rear fuel pump prime when opening the door or unlocking the car. Listen for a high-pitched, brief whining noise originating from the fuel tank, lasting only a couple of seconds. If absent, it indicates an issue with the primary rear fuel pump.

Our team used SolidWorks to design a Flow Optimized Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter (FFSA) to ensure fuel flow is unobstructed and with no added pressure drop at full fuel pump flow from the fuel tank to your motor when our kit is installed. This is important when pushing the factory fuel system with all the power Ethanol can provide over petrol!

Flex fuel sensor housing is designed to neatly install into the factory BMW fuel hat location.

Flex Fuel Sensor Adapter also contains two 1/8 NPT ports that allow installation of an auxiliary Fuel Pressure sensor for vehicles that don’t come with an OEM one from the factory for future use. Depending on fitment, either port can be used.
