To address this issue with heavily tuned, turbocharged, or supercharged E46 M3s, Supersprint now offers a new line of high performance Center Twin-Pipe Exhaust Pipes that are designed to provide you with a significantly higher exhaust flow than their original performance exhaust pipes, 787503 (Resonated) and 787513 (Non-Resonated), designed for street and light track performance.
This twin pipe system utilizes two high flow pipes instead of a single large pipe, allowing for up to 25% greater total exhaust flow. Thanks to the increased total flow, these center pipes are capable of supporting S54 engines producing over 400whp, perfect for all highly modified street cars or performance track vehicles.

Custom fabrication by an exhaust professional will be required to use these without the Supersprint exhaust sections. These cats include post-cat O2 sensor ports allowing for a complete installation by extending your original post-cat O2 sensors to the new location. Supersprint sport cats for the E82 N54 are designed to work with their cat-less headers. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint downpipes (p/n 980211) and to the Supersprint section 2. After Supersprint headers is the E38 section 1 exhaust. The stock section 1 contains a set of restrictive catalytic converters. For off-road or competition use Supersprint offers cat-delete Test Pipes or sport metallic catalytic converters. This front section is a direct replacement for the stock 235i/335/435/M2 exhaust with one key difference - the Supersprint uses full 80mm piping for improved flow out of the turbo. One of the best and easiest ways of getting more power from a stock turbo is by helping it push exhaust gas and larger and smoother exhaust piping will help with that. Where the stock system is bent and crimped, the Supersprint is a full 80mm along its entire length. This section 1 will fit to the stock or Supersprint turbo downpipe and a stock or Supersprint section 2 exhaust.

The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

This Supersprint section 2 replaces the second of two resonators in the 323/328 exhaust. By deleting resonators you can gain a little more volume from the exhaust. This is especially good if you're a fan of the stock exhaust sound and just want to hear more of it. Replacing one resonator makes a moderate difference but replacing both section 1 and 2 will be a dramatic increase in sound. Supersprint sport cats for the M5/M6 are designed to work with their performance headers and replace the stock secondary cats. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint merge collectors and then to a Supersprint or stock section 2. These are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

The Z4 35i and 35is have a very subdued and tame exhaust, especially by sports car standards! If you want to hear more of your exhaust note or feel that your Z4 could use more growl and excitement this set of Supersprint front exhaust pipes might do the trick! These pipes eliminate the second set of catalytic converters, which opens up the exhaust and removes a big restriction. The N54 turbos and the main set of cats in the downpipes already muffle the sound. The second set of cats also work as mufflers, dampening the sound even further. These stainless steel pipes bolt to the stock downpipes. Use them with the stock rear muffler section (requires adapters) or with the Supersprint sport mufflers. This is perfect if all you want is a little more volume from the Z4 exhaust.
