We have been using Red Line Oil in our street cars and race cars for years. Hands-down, it is the Number One brand of high performance lubricant for BMWs. We put Red Line Oil in our 80,000 mile street M3 and noticed smoother shifts, especially on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Also, our short shift kit is less notchy! For our E46 M3 racecars we used RedLine in the transmission and diff. Some of our races can go as along as 6 hours and we're happy report outstanding results. To clear up any confusion this package is what we recommend for the E46 M3. Not only do we not believe in 'lifetime' fluids, we believe that Red Line fluid will give you smoother shifts and as good or better protection for your transmission and diff internals than the factory fluids (factory fluid is also not available in a quart-sized container - we've tried).This package includes two quarts of ATF D4 and two quarts of 75/140.

After a lot of requests we’ve done some research and come up with this small package of Red Line Synthetic Oil for the BMW 325Xi and 330Xi. These 4 quarts cover the manual transmission, transfer case, and the front and rear differentials.

We don't believe in "lifetime fluids". With BMW transmission life seemingly becoming shorter with each generation, we think it's just good-ole' common sense to replace the fluid at regular intervals (35-50,000 miles). Let's face it: transmission fluid at 50, 70, or 100,000 miles is not going to be as effective as when it left the factory. And if you drive your BMW like a driving machine and not like hearse, you'll want the extra protection that regular fluid changes offer.

In our TMS Service bays we use Red Line Synthetic Oils. Theyhave been enormously effective on the racetrack - helping us to win dozens of races and championships. And their track-record on the street is second-to-none. Red Line Oil is designed not to be a 'lifetime' fluid with compromises inperformance made for longevity. Red Line is simply designed to be the best lubricant you can use in any application. Red Line D4 ATF oil meets the requirements where Dexron III and Mercon fluids are specified. The 75/90 gear lube exceeds API GL5 standards.

BMW claims their transmission fluid to be a "lifetime" fluid, however is recommended to be changed every 60,000 miles to ensure a longer transmission life. Though not exposed to the same level of heat and contamination as engine oil, transmission oil still breaks down over time due to heat and becomes contaminated as your transmission wears. Old contaminated oil can lead to excessive wear and tear on sensitive transmission components which could lead to slow shifting, slips, and even complete failure. This is also true for the transmission filter. The filter removes metal particles from the transmission fluid and eventually begins to clog, preventing fluid from passing through the filter easily. This kit includes the necessary direct-fitting sealing hardware to conveniently service the shrunken valve body sealing sleeves during the recommended fluid and filter change interval of 62,000 miles / 8 years at the latest. The ZF 6HP19Z series transmission is a very durable and powerful unit that can last for many miles if serviced in time to allow the valve body to maintain proper fluid pressure. The slightest drop in valve body fluid pressure in this unit leads to premature transmission bushing and or clutch wear, along with contamination and overheating of the fluid. Rein recommends the OE or Pentosin ATF-1 synthetic automatic transmission fluid for this job.

Over the life of a vehicle, the transmission can often be overlooked when performing routine maintenance. If left unserviced, the automatic transmission fluid will break down, causing the valve body and filter to become contaminated with deposits and sludge. This will lead to poor shifting, slipping, and ultimately, transmission failure. Kit Includes: OEM Hengst Automatic transmission filter OEM Hengst Oil Pan Gasket & Installation Hardware OEM Hengst Drain plug with sealing washer OEM Hengst Fill plug with sealing washer 9 Liters of Liqui-Moly Top Tec 1800 ATF NOTE: The 8HP76 transmission is originally filled with 9.3 liters of fluid. This kit contains 9 liters of fluid as some fluid always remains in the valve body, accumulator, and transmission. The 9 liters of fluid included is enough to drain both the transmission pan, the oil cooler, and the oil cooler lines. If you have an upgraded transmission cooler, we recommend picking up an additional liter of fluid to account for the increased capacity. As per ZF's recommendations, Turner Motorsport suggests performing a full service on your 8HP automatic transmission every 50,000 miles. If your vehicle is modified and makes more power than stock or if your vehicle is regularly track-driven, we recommend shorter 30,000-mile service intervals. This will ensure your transmission's fluid is free from contamination which will help extend the life of internal transmission components like clutch packs and solenoids.
