Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Stock rubber control arm bushings give a disconnected and mushy feel to the front suspension, especially when worn, as the bushing deflects more than it should. You get sloppy steering, vibrations, and poor handling which makes the car feel unstable. These urethane bushings are stiffer than stock rubber and will not deflect as much. This helps keep the alignment in check with less variation. The car feels more planted and confidence-inspiring. And a lifetime warranty means you'll likely never have to pay for another bushing ever again! Powerflex is the number one selling suspension bushing manufacturer in Europe. Their experience with polyurethane bushing material and state-of-the art manufacturing techniques allows them to produce premium performance bushings, made to exact-fit standards. Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings are built to last longer than OEM rubber bushings, while improving performance and allowing for a more engaging driving experience. Powerflex has extensive knowledge and design experience in automotive suspension and chassis systems. These design skills have been combined with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques leading to the development of a wide range of high-performance automotive polyurethane components that are second to none in quality and performance. The special type of polyurethane used by Powerflex is an advanced proprietary material which has unique properties. This ensures that each product not only offers the high-performance capabilities our customers expect, but also the exceptionally long life and quality they demand - without increased vibration or noise.

Revshift billet aluminum subframe bushings completely replace the oem rubber bushings on the BMW E82, E90, E91, E92, and E93 including the M3, 1M, and XI models. These bushings solid mount the rear subframe reducing wheel hop and improving the vehicles handling capabilities. The two piece bushing design sandwiches the subframe locking it in place. It will not shift on the bushings while driving like the one piece designs allow. They are CNC machined at Revshift in the USA from 6061-T6 billet aluminum.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

The E30 rear subframe is held into the chassis by two bolts going through these rubber mounts. A lot of suspension motion, chassis flex, and driveline torque has to go through these two points, which makes them notorious for failure. When they do, the subframe will move around, playing havoc with your suspension's alignment and settings and making a very annoying clunk. These are direct replacement rubber mounts, sold as a pair.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

The BMW E60/E61 M5 Front Sway Bar Bushings & Plate Kit (26.5 mm) by Powerflex is an essential upgrade for enhancing the handling and responsiveness of the BMW M5. This kit is specifically engineered to replace the factory sway bar bushings and includes high-quality polyurethane bushings that fit sway bars with a 26.5 mm diameter.

Detailed Overview:

  1. Durable Polyurethane Bushings: Unlike the stock rubber bushings, Powerflex bushings are made of durable polyurethane. This material is more resistant to wear, oil, and other contaminants, making it ideal for both street and track use. Polyurethane offers a firmer feel than rubber, reducing unwanted flex and improving sway bar performance.

  2. Sway Bar Compatibility: Designed to fit the 26.5 mm front sway bar found on BMW E60 (sedan) and E61 (wagon/touring) M5 models, this kit provides an exact fit without the need for modification.

  3. Enhanced Performance: The stiffer bushings reduce sway bar movement under load, improving the car’s stability during cornering, reducing body roll, and enhancing overall vehicle control. This results in sharper, more responsive steering and better handling, especially under aggressive driving conditions.

  4. Corrosion-Resistant Plates: The included plates are designed to resist corrosion and ensure a solid, secure mounting for the bushings, contributing to the longevity and reliability of the entire suspension system.

  5. Long-Lasting Design: Polyurethane bushings have a longer service life compared to traditional rubber bushings, providing a durable and cost-effective solution to maintaining precise handling over time.

Advantages:

  • Reduces body roll for improved handling.
  • Increases durability and lifespan of suspension components.
  • Resistant to environmental factors like oil, heat, and road debris.
  • Direct fitment for easy installation with no additional modifications needed.

This Powerflex Front Sway Bar Bushings & Plate Kit is a must-have upgrade for M5 owners seeking improved handling, longevity, and performance without sacrificing ride quality.

Differentials serve the key purpose of transmitting power from the driveshaft to the axles. Factory rubber bushings absorb some of this power to allow for cushy, comfortable acceleration, at the expense of performance. Many OEM differential bushings are fast-wearing and failure-prone, resulting in driveline slop and thunks when shifting or going over bumps. Your BMW G80/G82/G87 will improve in: Improved Handling and Stability - Upgrading to an aftermarket rear differential front mount bushing can do wonders for your car's handling and stability. These bushings are designed with performance in mind, reducing unwanted movement of the differential. Reduced Wheel Hop - Wheel hop can be a drag, both figuratively and literally. An upgraded front mount bushing helps minimize wheel hop, especially during hard acceleration or aggressive driving. Say goodbye to that unsettling bounce and hello to smoother power delivery. Powerflex polyurethane differential bushings are firmer than OEM rubber bushings, eliminating associated driveline slop and allowing for the crisp application of power to the ground, resulting in better throttle response and control.

Differentials serve the key purpose of transmitting power from the driveshaft to the axles. Factory rubber bushings absorb some of this power to allow for cushy, comfortable acceleration, at the expense of performance. Many OEM differential bushings are fast-wearing and failure prone, resulting in driveline slop and thunks when shifting or going over bumps. Powerflex polyurethane differential bushings are firmer than OEM rubber bushings, eliminating associated driveline slop and allowing for the crisp application of power to the ground, resulting in better throttle response and control. Use of Powerflex Copper Grease PCG1 is recommended for ease of installation. Periodic reapplication is recommended to extend squeak-free service life of bushings. Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Need bushings for a car that's street-driven? Powerflex street bushings are an ideal alternative for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. The Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings for the BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 5 Series are designed specifically for motorsport and high-performance driving, offering superior stiffness and durability compared to stock rubber bushings. These bushings are part of the Black Series range, engineered for maximum control and precision under demanding conditions. Here's a detailed breakdown: Ultra-Stiff Polyurethane Compound: The Black Series bushings use an extra-hard polyurethane formulation that provides exceptional rigidity. This stiffness helps reduce any unwanted flex or movement in the rear trailing arms, which is critical for maintaining suspension alignment during high-speed cornering, acceleration, and braking. Motorsport-Level Performance: Designed for track-focused setups, these bushings deliver enhanced precision and control over the rear suspension. The reduced deflection ensures that the rear wheels stay properly aligned to the road, offering superior handling and grip. This is especially beneficial during aggressive driving or competitive racing, where suspension consistency is crucial. Improved Handling Dynamics: With these bushings, you'll experience significantly sharper turn-in response, reduced body roll, and better overall handling. The rear of the car becomes more stable, and the car’s behavior more predictable, making it easier to manage in high-performance environments or during spirited driving. Extreme Durability: The Powerflex Black Series bushings are designed to withstand the intense conditions of track use. They resist wear and tear from heat, oil, and road contaminants, far outlasting traditional rubber bushings. This makes them ideal for race cars or heavily modified street cars that are frequently subjected to extreme forces. Reduced Flex for Maximum Suspension Efficiency: By minimizing movement in the rear trailing arm, the bushings allow the suspension to operate at its full potential. This leads to more consistent handling and tire contact, which improves both grip and acceleration, especially when pushing the car to its limits on the track. More Direct Feedback: The increased stiffness of the Black Series bushings allows for better transmission of road feel through the chassis, providing the driver with more accurate feedback. This gives a more connected driving experience, ideal for competitive driving where control and feel are critical. Perfect Fit for BMW E24 / E28 / E32 / E34: These bushings are designed to replace the OEM rear trailing arm bushings on the BMW E24 6 Series, E28 5 Series, E32 7 Series, and E34 5 Series models. They offer a direct fit, making installation relatively straightforward for anyone familiar with suspension work, although professional installation is recommended for proper alignment. Increased NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness): Due to their extreme stiffness, the Powerflex Black Series bushings will increase the amount of NVH transmitted through the car. While this is acceptable for track use, it may not be ideal for daily-driven vehicles where comfort is a priority. In conclusion, the Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings are the ultimate choice for BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 owners seeking uncompromised performance and durability on the track. These bushings offer a significant upgrade in handling and stability, making them ideal for motorsport applications or heavily modified street cars where precision and control are paramount. However, the trade-off is an increase in NVH, which makes them more suitable for track-focused builds rather than everyday use.

These urethane performance bushings replace the stock rubber front upper control arm bushings on the 2006-2010 E60 525xi/528xi/530xi/535xi xDrive AWD models. Stock rubber control arm bushings give a disconnected and mushy feel to the front suspension, especially when worn as the bushing deflects more than it should. You get sloppy steering, vibrations, and poor handling which makes the car feel unstable. These urethane bushings are stiffer than stock rubber and will not deflect as much. This helps keep the alignment in check with less variation. The car feels more planted and confidence-inspiring. And a limited lifetime warranty means you'll likely never have to pay for another bushing ever again.

The BMW E34 5 Series (1988-1996) Rear Beam Mount Bushings are crucial components that support the rear subframe, connecting it to the body of the vehicle. Over time, the factory-installed rubber bushings can wear out, leading to looseness in the rear suspension and degraded handling. Replacing these bushings can restore the precision and stability of your E34, making it a vital upgrade for both daily drivers and performance enthusiasts.

Key Features:

  • Material: The original rear beam mount bushings are made from rubber, designed to absorb road vibrations and maintain ride comfort. However, aftermarket upgrades are available in stronger materials like polyurethane, offering enhanced durability and a more responsive feel.
  • Improved Handling: Replacing worn-out bushings will firm up the rear end of the vehicle, reducing play and improving handling precision. Upgrading to polyurethane bushings can further improve responsiveness by providing a stiffer connection between the rear subframe and the body, ideal for spirited driving or track use.
  • Durability: Polyurethane bushings from manufacturers like Powerflex or SuperPro are significantly more resistant to wear, heat, and oil than the factory rubber, making them last longer. This reduces the need for frequent replacements, especially for cars subjected to more demanding driving conditions.
  • OEM Fitment: Aftermarket bushing kits are designed to match OEM specifications, allowing for easy installation without needing additional modifications. Whether choosing OEM-style rubber or polyurethane, the bushings are made to fit perfectly within the E34’s rear beam assembly.

Types of Rear Beam Mount Bushings:

  • OEM Rubber Bushings: These are direct replacements for the original bushings, offering the same balance of comfort and handling that the BMW E34 was known for. They are ideal for owners looking to restore their E34 to factory standards without compromising ride quality.
  • Polyurethane Bushings: These bushings offer enhanced performance, with increased stiffness for better handling, reduced deflection, and improved stability in high-load situations. While slightly firmer, they offer a great balance of everyday usability and performance for more aggressive driving styles.

Installation Considerations:

  • Replacing rear beam mount bushings requires lowering the rear subframe, which can be complex and labor-intensive. It's recommended to use proper tools like a bushing removal tool or press, or have the job performed by a professional mechanic.
  • Since the rear beam mount bushings are located near other key suspension components, this is a great opportunity to inspect and replace any additional worn parts, like trailing arm bushings or rear shocks, to maximize the overall performance and feel of the rear suspension.

Benefits of Replacement:

  • Increased Stability: New bushings prevent unwanted movement in the rear subframe, resulting in more predictable handling and a tighter feel, especially when cornering or under acceleration.
  • Restored Comfort: If your current bushings are degraded, replacing them with fresh rubber or polyurethane bushings will reduce vibrations and noise, improving ride comfort and overall driving experience.
  • Longevity: Polyurethane bushings last significantly longer than stock rubber ones, making them a smart investment for those seeking a long-term solution.

In summary, upgrading the BMW E34 5 Series Rear Beam Mount Bushings is a great way to refresh the vehicle’s suspension, enhancing both comfort and handling. Whether you prefer the softer feel of OEM-style rubber or the performance-oriented stiffness of polyurethane, new bushings can dramatically improve your E34’s ride and longevity.

The Powerflex Rear Beam Bushing for BMW E24 6 Series and E28 5 Series is a performance-oriented solution designed to improve the handling and stability of these classic BMWs by replacing the worn-out factory rubber bushings with high-quality polyurethane versions.

Key Features:

  1. High-Performance Polyurethane: Unlike the factory rubber bushings, which degrade over time due to age, heat, and exposure to oils, Powerflex bushings are made from long-lasting polyurethane. This material is more resistant to wear and provides consistent performance in various driving conditions.

  2. Increased Rear-End Stability: The rear beam bushing controls the movement of the rear suspension. By upgrading to Powerflex bushings, you reduce flex and movement in the rear suspension, resulting in a more stable and predictable rear end. This is especially important in older models where worn-out bushings can cause excessive body roll and instability.

  3. Handling Improvements: Powerflex bushings tighten up the rear suspension, which helps improve cornering performance and reduces rear-end sway. With better alignment retention, you’ll experience sharper, more responsive handling, especially during spirited driving or cornering.

  4. Two Versions for Different Needs:

    • Road Series: This version provides a balance between performance and comfort, offering an improvement in handling while keeping the ride quality close to factory levels. It's ideal for daily drivers who want better control without a significant increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH).
    • Black Series: For those looking for maximum performance, especially in motorsport or track settings, the Black Series bushings are made from stiffer polyurethane. They offer increased control at the cost of higher NVH, making them suited for drivers focused on performance over comfort.
  5. Direct OEM Replacement: These bushings are designed to replace the OEM bushings without the need for custom modifications. This makes installation relatively straightforward, though professional installation is recommended for optimal results.

  6. Longevity and Durability: Powerflex bushings offer long-term reliability, lasting far longer than rubber bushings. They resist common forms of wear such as cracking and deterioration, which often plague rubber bushings over time in older BMWs like the E24 and E28.

Applications:

  • BMW E24 6 Series (1976-1989)
  • BMW E28 5 Series (1981-1988)

Upgrading to Powerflex Rear Beam Bushings is ideal for BMW enthusiasts who want to restore or enhance their classic car’s handling. Whether for daily driving or track use, these bushings provide better stability, handling precision, and durability, making your vintage BMW more capable and fun to drive.

By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Upgrade your vehicle's handling performance with Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings. Unlike OEM rubber bushings that prioritize comfort over precision, Powerflex bushings are designed to reduce body roll and enhance cornering confidence.

Sway bars play a crucial role in transmitting cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, ensuring your vehicle stays flat during sharp turns. However, OEM rubber bushings can lead to unnecessary body roll due to their flexible nature, compromising the effectiveness of the sway bars.

Powerflex polyurethane bushings offer a firmer alternative to OEM rubber, providing improved bar retention and minimizing sloppiness during cornering. This results in enhanced handling capabilities and a more engaging driving experience.

As the leading suspension bushing manufacturer in Europe, Powerflex leverages its expertise in polyurethane materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to produce premium bushings that meet exact-fit standards. Whether you're driving on the street or hitting the track, Powerflex bushings are built to last longer than OEM rubber counterparts while delivering superior performance.

For easy installation and prolonged service life, we recommend using Powerflex Copper Grease PCG1. This grease helps reduce squeaks and ensures optimal performance of the bushings over time.

Choose Powerflex street bushings for daily-driven vehicles with occasional autocross or track outings. For dedicated track cars seeking maximum stiffness, Powerflex Black Series bushings with a 95A durometer polyurethane material are the ultimate choice, offering 25% more stiffness than street bushings.

To top it off, Powerflex stands behind its products with a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, providing peace of mind and assurance of quality and durability. Upgrade your suspension with Powerflex and experience the difference in handling performance.
