Performance Clutch Kits
This clutch package is designed for high HP vehicles desiring a start performance similar to O.E. The pressure plate is Race Engineered (SS) and SFI approved with significant load increase over stage 1,2 pressure plates (+600-800 lbs.). Expect a pedal effort increase of 20%-25%. Discs are assembled with heat-treated wear resistant hubs; drive plates and springs for high load transfer and dependable operation. The sprung centers on the disc in conjunction with the marcel fin between the linings create a dual dampening effect that simulates O.E. start performance. A Performance Organic friction material with a high metal content increases torque and RPM capability and maintains low operating temperatures which reduces wear and glazing.
Stage 3 Daily Clutch Kits:
Recommended usages are daily, spirited street and occasional track
Conservatively rated to hold 400lbs/ft of torque

The FX350 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with Clutch Masters New Formula Button disc. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast or weekend racer who plans to abuse their vehicle on an occasional basis and have a spirited driving style.
The FX350 clutch system has a higher holding capacity than a segmented Kevlar lining without compromising the street friendly characteristic Clutch Masters is known for. For year’s enthusiast have had to compromise durability for drivability and vise versa, however with Clutch Masters New Formula button we have closed the gap between these two tradeoffs.

This system features a Heavy Duty Pressure Plate modified for a puck style disc with no cushion between the linings to keep the clutch pedal travel short and quick. The puck design disc reduces rotational mass and total drive surface area while increasing pounds per square inch on the surface of the friction material. This combination minimizes inertia, accelerating the transfer of torque from the engine to the wheels. The friction material used for this race application is Graphite Impregnated Ceramic. This compound exceeded all other friction materials when testing for durability, reduced chatter, heat transfer and torque capacity.

The factory dual-mass flywheel in W11-powered MINI Coopers was designed with comfort in mind—minimizing drivetrain vibration and delivering smoother shifts. However, this focus on refinement comes at a performance cost. The hefty 27 lbs. of rotational mass dulls throttle response, slows acceleration, and makes rev-matching more difficult. Dual-mass flywheels are also known to be less reliable in tuned or modified setups and can be expensive to replace when they fail.
ECS Tuning developed their Lightweight Single-Mass Flywheel to address these issues with a performance-focused alternative. Weighing in at just 17 lbs., this flywheel sheds nearly 10 lbs. of rotating mass compared to the OEM unit—transforming throttle response, acceleration, and clutch feel for a more engaging and dynamic driving experience.
**This flywheel is to match with a factory type or aftermarket NON Dampened clutch kit!** MINIs factory set up engagement is dampened by the dual mass flywheel. This will be a little more aggressive engagement of the clutch over the stock factory set up as they system in not dampened!! Can be used from daily to the track days.
