The Clutch Masters FX725 is a high-performance 7.25" (184mm) Twin Disc clutch, specifically designed for drag racing applications with compact bell housings. Developed from decades of drag racing expertise, the FX725 offers outstanding performance with minimal rotational mass. Though primarily built for track use, advancements in friction materials now allow for occasional street driving. This clutch is engineered to withstand extreme horsepower and torque while maintaining a manageable pedal effort for race conditions.
The cover assembly is precisely machined from billet aluminum and treated with a Type 3 hard anodizing process. Our billet covers provide approximately 25% more tensile strength than traditional cast units. By crafting an exceptionally strong yet lightweight cover, we eliminate flex, ensuring consistent clutch operation. While cast or stamped covers may flex up to .030", our billet cover flexes only .003", allowing the throwout bearing’s movement to be fully utilized for clutch engagement and disengagement. This enhanced strength results in greater clamping force across the same surface area compared to cast or stamped alternatives. The outcome is a twin-disc system that delivers superior power transfer, exceptional drivability, and maximum efficiency for high-performance applications.
