Supersprint sport cats for the M5 V8 are designed to work with their performance headers and replace the stock main cats. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint merge collectors and then to a Supersprint or stock section 2. These are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat which makes for an easy install.

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

This tuned resonator replaces the factory center resonator. The oversized pipe allows exhaust gas to flow more freely which reduces the workload on the turbocharger, and freeing up power and torque (especially when combined with the Supersprint section 1 pipe). This Supersprint front section deletes the stock front resonator on the 2004-2010 E60 545i and 550i models. The factory exhaust has two very large resonators to dampen exhaust noise so if you want a little more rip and growl this is a direct replacement for the first resonator that is bolted to the headers and then clamped with section 2 of the exhaust.

These pipes fit after the headers and will eliminate the second set of cats in the stock exhaust. By deleting the secondary cats you remove a significant blockage in the exhaust flow - increasing horsepower and improving reliability for track or competition cars. You won't have to contend with catalytic material breaking down and clogging your exhaust while you're on the track. The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume and also changes the sound with a little more rasp and rip. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. It's also a full 70mm diameter - slightly larger than the stock piping. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

This factory midpipe from the N55 135i is a sound enhancement when used on the twin-turbo N54 models. This N55 midpipe does not have the secondary catalytic converters in place that the N54 cars had. Instead there are straight pipes leading to the resonator. Without the secondary catalytic converters in place the exhaust is louder and with more of a burble and rumble. It's a great first upgrade to make the N54 engine a bit louder and more aggressive! The problem with turbo engines is that the turbo itself will dampen the sound and make the engine harder to hear. And the N54 135i engine is further dampened by the secondary cats. This can be a problem on the track when you want other drivers to be able to hear you. This center section will restore some of that lost volume and open up the N54 engine. With less backpressure the turbos can spool up faster which will make a modest power improvement. There's an added bonus for the 1M coupe - drastically reduced droning at light throttle.
This is the factory BMW N55 midpipe. It's a direct fit to either the N54 or N55 engined cars with all of the correct bends and crimps to fit the E82 or E88 chassis. But it will only change the sound characteristics for cars with the N54 engine. The N54 and N55 use the same exhaust gaskets, rings, and hangers.

The Supersprint Crossover Pipe will delete the rear resonator ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonator, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers.
