This is a brand new automatic transmission filter service kit from OEM Hengst for the GAHP75 and GAHP76 transmissions found in many of the newer BMW M cars, including the G8X M2, M3, & M4, F90 M5, F91/92/93 M8, F97 X3M, F98 X4M, F85 X5M, and F86 X6M. This kit includes all of the basic components needed to service your transmission, other than the transmission fluid. Included: Oil Pan Gasket Oil Filter Drain & Fill Plugs Oil Pan Mounting Screws (Qty 13) As per ZF's recommendations, we suggest replacing your filter and changing your fluid every 50,000 miles. If your vehicle is modified and makes more power than stock, or if your vehicle is regularly track-driven, we recommend shorter 30,000-mile service intervals. This will ensure your transmission's fluid is free from contamination which will help extend the life of internal transmission components like clutch packs and solenoids.

Like the DCT oil pan, the plastic OEM hydraulics cover is prone to fatiguing from heat cycling; not ideal considering the important parts that reside behind it. And also like it's oil pan sibling, the Fall-Line hydraulics cover uses a bespoke Viton O-Ring that resides within a clever internal channel. Viton O-Rings, due to their exceptional resistance to temperature extremes (-20°F to 400°F operating temp) and low gas permeability, have incredible aging characteristics and therefore eliminate the need for regular replacement.

Installs within the front bumper behind the driver-side kidney grills providing ample airflow over the large cooling core via existing openings. The result is dramatically reduced transmission temperature and extended transmission life. This kit is strongly suggested for any BMW B58 Gen1 F chassis automatic car running larger than factory turbos. 165ºF (74ºC) transmission oil cooler Improved Racing thermostat included The thermostat maintains the oil exiting the transmission at the rated minimum temperature in most conditions. Without a thermostat, the transmission fluid coolers are likely to over-cool the fluid, delaying transmission warm-up and performing the critical function of bypassing the cooler until the oil has reached its minimum operating temperature.
