Want the best performance option in shock tower mounts? IRP has created their pillow-ball rear shock mounts for just this need. These rear shock mounts are designed for use on the track and racing. This set of mounts will help your rear shocks perform the best they can in all conditions. The advantage to using a mount with spherical bearing is that it allows the shock to freely move off axis without side loading the shock shaft like rubber or polyurethane mounts do. Side loading a shock increases stiction and wear which decreases its efficiency. Because these are mounts without an isolator (rubber or polyurethane) to dampen road noise and vibrations we do not recommend them for street cars.
The bearing sleeve and poly bushing are built to work with all stock style shocks such as Bilstein and H&R coilover and suspension kits.

Anytime that you replace your front control arms you must replace your control arm bushings. The reason is because it's hard to tell if you're bushings are really bad and they are often destroyed when removed. These are the control arm bushings from the 1996-1999 E36 M3 and have the hole in the center.
These are the stock bushings bushings from the 1996-99 E36 M3 and MZ3 but are a great upgrade for any E30 - 318/325, E36 - 325/323/328, and Z3 -1.9, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0. They have more rubber than the non-M stock bushings. We have found the increased volume of rubber helps the bushings last longer and have better steering response due to less deflection of the bushing. These bushings can actually help reduce vibrations produced by the mass of larger wheels or brakes.

If you're installing racing rear shocks with a spherical bearing end you will need this adapter mount for the top of the rear shock. Spherical or rod-end bearings are common on race shocks but they are somewhat universal and mounts are not usually included. We designed and engineered these mounts for our E9X M3 and E90 328i IMSA/CTSCC racecars. Our cacing upper shock mount is machined out of aircraft grade aluminum with a tough anodize finish and high grade hardware. Due to the wide variety of spherical bearings and rod-ends found on race shocks, the bushing kit is sold seperately (see chart for bushing sizes).

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. For someone looking for superior performance and longevity these sealed monoball bushings are the best upper thrust bearing you can buy for an F22 2-series or F3X 3/4-series. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load. All of the rubber bushings move in all sorts of directions and that changes your alignment, especially when used with big brake kits or when driven hard. The condition worsens as the bushing wears out. The Dinan monoball sits in a CNC machined aluminum housing which has zero deflection. The monoball allows complete freedom of movement but only at the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision, better handling from more consistent alignment, and almost infinite bushing life. And thanks to the inner liner and sealed rubber boots there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life of fully solid race bushings.
We strongly advise using these with new control arms. BMW recommends that the bushings be replaced only once per set of control arms. So if your thrust arm bushings have been replaced already then we do not recommend re-using the arms. The other reason is that the aluminum arms stretch over time which will make the bushings loose inside the arm. Other manufacturers recommend filling the stretched arms with paste but replacing the control arm is the better solution.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.
