Our Turner Motorsport rear shifter bushing is a precision-engineered solution designed to eliminate excessive deflection in the factory BMW G8X shift carrier assembly. The OEM rubber bushing introduces unwanted compliance that translates to a vague shifter feel, imprecision under load, and potential gear misalignment during aggressive driving. This polyurethane and billet aluminum replacement addresses that with a focused approach to both material selection and mechanical function.

Our engineer replaced the soft rubber isolator with a 70A durometer polyurethane bushing housed in a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body. The result is a significant reduction in bushing deflection while retaining the necessary articulation for BMW’s dual-bushing shift carrier design. Strategically placed relief cuts in the poly insert allow controlled movement without compromising rigidity where it matters most, translating to a more direct, confident shift feel without introducing harsh NVH into the cabin.

Pair our G8x DSSR with our upgraded poly rear shifter bushing for the fully upgraded shifting experience. This DSSR is designed for G8x models that have the selector rod p# 25118097173.

Upgrade from your single connection selector rod to a dual shear selector rod or DSSR for a stronger connection and an overall better shifting experience. The factory BMW selector rod is made of hollow aluminum tubing and attaches to both the shifter and transmission from one side utilizing a pin-and-clip design. The factory single-side attachment only has a small amount of surface area contacting both the shifter and transmission selector, which relies directly on the connecting pin to do all of the shifting and control. This can cause a loose and/or lackluster experience when shifting gears or shaking your shifter in neutral. Your new Turner DSSR features a much larger contacting surface to both the shifter and transmission; not only does the upgraded DSSR have larger faces contacting your shift components but it also features double the amount of mounting surfaces. This dual shear selector rod hugs your shift lever and selector tight from both sides and eliminates deflection and sloppiness for the best shifting experience possible.

Red Line 75W90 is a full synthetic high-performance gear oil that is an excellent substitute for expensive factory fluid and an upgrade over off-the-shelf economy fluid. Red Line thoroughly evaluates the manufacturer's recommendations and only makes a fluid recommendation if their own product meets or exceeds the original specification. In many cases the Red Line synthetic will outperform the factory supplied fluids. We've been using Red Line Oil in our BMWs since we opened in 1994 and it remains our best selling BMW differential fluid. 75/90 is the weight most commonly used in BMW differentials since the 1960s, including the factory clutch-type limited-slip diffs (exceptions being M3/M5/M6 cars since 2001). We use 75W90 in nearly all BMW chassis and the custom differentials that we sell. It's great for the street where the polyol-ester base has natural lubricity and friction modifiers lead to smoother and quieter operation with lower operating temps than the factory fluid. We also use it in some track cars that don't already use the more aggressive 75/90NS fluid (without friction modifiers).

Recommended or exceeds specifications for API GL-5, GL-6, MT-1, MIL-L-2105E, SAE J2360, and Chrysler spec MS-9763. Matches the specifications for the factory BMW SAF-XO diff fluid (#07512293972).

RED LINE MT-90 is designed to provide excellent protection and improved shiftability for manual transmissions and transaxles. MTL and MT-90 have cured the problem of hard shifting in numerous transmissions which have notoriously difficult shifting. The secret to their success is two-fold. First, they have the appropriate coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers. Many gear oils, engine oils, and ATFs are too slippery for proper synchro engagement. Secondly, the viscosity characteristics of MTL and MT-90 allow proper shifting over the entire temperature range which the transmission will experience. The synthetic base oils used have a very high viscosity index which provides relatively constant viscosity as temperature changes. MTL is a low 75W, almost a 70W, at very low temperatures and a high 80W, nearly an 85W, at elevated temperatures, providing adequate viscosity to prevent wear and deaden gear noise. MT-90 is a thicker 75W90 version of MTL. The shear stability and oxidation stability of these products are excellent, thus the physical characteristics of Red Line MTL and MT-90 will change little with use.

Designed for F and G-Chassis manual BMWs, this kit makes removing the hydraulic restrictor safe, simple, and reliable, no slave cylinder removal required.

Most modern BMWs come from the factory with a plastic slave cylinder featuring a CDV, intended to smooth engagement and reduce driveline shock for less experienced drivers. In practice, this restrictor can dull pedal feedback, slow shifts, and increase clutch wear. Removing it restores the sharp, direct clutch feel that BMW enthusiasts expect.

Removal and Installation:

Disconnect the Clutch Line
Remove the clutch line from the slave cylinder to access the factory clutch delay valve.
Remove the Restrictor Plate
Thread the removal tool into the center of the small grommet. Once engaged, carefully pull the tool to remove the grommet and restrictor plate. The small rubber sealing O-ring will come out along with the plate.
Reinstall the O-Ring
Place the rubber O-ring onto the installation tool. Insert the tool into the slave cylinder to properly seat the O-ring in its original position.
Reconnect and Bleed the Clutch
Reattach the clutch line, add fluid, and bleed the system according to your manufacturer’s instructions.

This clutch pedal bushing kit for the BWW G80 M3, G82 M4, G87 M2, and the MK5 Toyota Supra replaces all of the factory plastic bushings that wear out, warp, and are just an overall sloppy and poor design, with the highest quality CNC machined billet pieces. Clutch Masters' kit includes two stainless steel bushings that replace the factory plastic bushings for the clutch pedal pivot point as well as a stainless steel clutch pedal pin that replaces the factory plastic pin. The Clutch Masters Factory Fit FX350 Series Twin Discs kit for the 2021+ BMW G80 M3 and G82 M4 with the amazing S58 engine and a 6-Speed manual transmission was developed to bridge the gap between replacing the comfortable driving twin disc that came in these cars from the factory and one of the more race orientated 725, 850 or 1000 Series twin disc kits. As OE auto manufactures continue to push for more and more power, they are typically equipping those cars lucky enough to be outfitted with a manual transmission with a twin disc clutch. But what happens when the factory clutch starts to wear out or slip because you've modified and tuned the car? Lots of owners of these higher end powerful cars still want to maintain a car that is easy to drive on the street, yet still be able reliably take the abuse they inevitably want to throw at it. Most aren't looking to go full race car and install a twin disc designed for such use, there has to be a compromise. The answer to these dilemmas is a Factory Fit FX Series Twin Disc Clutch Kits. Using components similar to what came in the car from the factory, the CM engineering team does everything they can to expand and improve upon the OE twin disc in many ways. Using higher end friction materials, lighter materials and expertise in developing performance clutch kits for over 45 years, CM has dialed in a twin disc kit that bridges the gap between full race car and luxury daily driver making serious horsepower. In the case of the BMW G8X twin disc, we have done away with the factory self-adjusting cover, a little over 10lbs of weight reduction in the entire assembly, and we have gone from an 8.5" disc to a 9.5" disc for significantly more disc surface area. The Clutch Masters FX Series Twin Disc kits utilize proven friction materials found in the FX Series Single Disc Clutch kits and are available in several different configurations to suit you and your cars needs. The Factory Fit FX350 Series Twin disc will come as a complete replacement kit utilizing a lightweight aluminum Type 3 hard anodized flywheel, steel floater, factory style stamped steel cover, two DLX clutch discs utilizing Fiber Tough friction material, throw out bearing, and clutch fork. This clutch is designed for the street enthusiast who also might spend a weekend at the track that and their car has multiple power upgrades. For years enthusiasts have had to compromise durability for longevity and drivability and vice versa, however with Fiber-Tough material we have closed the gap between these two tradeoffs with Fiber Tough material.
