BMW Throttle Body Parts for BMW Z4 M Roadster S54 (2003-2008)

We carry a variety of parts related to BMW throttle bodies and throttle body upgrades. Modern BMWs have electronic throttles that need replacement rather than repair. A malfunctioning unit can disable the car so it's important to pay attention to any fault codes related to the 'EML' system. Older mechanical throttles are much more reliable and less prone to any issues. Replacement of any throttle housing is easy and straightforward.

Larger throttle bodies have been advertised for years as a performance upgrade. On their own they will not make any power difference. But combined with other upgrades, such as larger mass air sensors and intakes, they can contribute to power gains. However, we do not currently sell larger throttle bodies. We do offer adapter plates to mount different throttle housings onto your intake manifold. This is most commonly done along with a stand-alone engine management system with or without drive-by-wire control.

Achilles Motorsports' Throttle Conversion Kit was designed and manufactured to allow the removal of the OEM drive-by-wire system and replaces it with a more conventional throttle cable system. This kit is very useful when the S54 engine is installed in other BMW chassis (ie. E30, E36), or in the E46 M3 chassis when used to run with aftermarket ECU's. This kit features machined, billet aluminum components and incorporates a housing(barrel) with two side-by-side bearings and an 8mm shaft that allows for smooth, linear pedal actuation with no flex.

This is the Genuine BMW electronic throttle actuator motor assembly for BMWs with the S54 engine. Has your BMW suffered from a throttle actuator failure? If so, it won't be going anywhere without a new one. The drive-by-wire system requires this actuator to open the throttle body. If your S54 actuator has failed, this replacement can get you back on the road again.
