Free ground shipping! Supersprint makes these straight pipes to delete the rear resonator on the Z4 M models. The stock exhaust is over muffled with two sets of cats, the rear resonator, and two rear mufflers. If you want a bit more sound from the S54 to come through, this is a great addition. Deleting the resonator will add a bit more volume and makes the system less restrictive for a modest power and torque increase. If you want a more dramatic change to the exhaust, we suggest changing the rear mufflers and possibly deleting the secondary cats. Supersprint mufflers are required for a direct fit. The Rogue Engineering E85 MZ4 X-pipe replaces the stock BMW resonator between the catalytic converter and the rear mufflers. The RE E85 MZ4 X-pipe is made to fit in the place of the factory resonator. Other features include: Fits all MZ4 Coupe/Convertible from 2006-08 Weighs only 11.35 lbs. for the entire assembly. The factory part is over 15 lbs. 100% T-304 stainless steel construction and internals, a majority of the exhaust made from 16 gauge stainless steel. Rasp Terminator for the E46 M3 (also for MZ3 and Z4M) is a tuned front section that: Greatly reduce rasp from the S54 engine Balance exhaust pressure for each bank with H-pipe crossover The S54 rasp is excessive and tuning it out requires the right combination of resonators, placement, and tubing size. CPI designed their own section 1 after other designs on the market fell short. Rasp is reduced by approximately 80% on a M3 equipped with aftermarket headers. The latest RTX incorporates an H-pipe crossover that equalizes exhaust pressures in both banks before they merge for section 2. This reduces turbulence and improves exhaust flow. While not designed to gain power and torque, dyno testing showed slight gains with this system. Fitment has also been improved for better ground clearance. Tubing is a full 2.36" (60mm) and 304 stainless steel throughout. It will bolt on to most headers and to any section 2 that uses the factory-style flanges.

The piping is slightly oversized and the Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will only mount to the Supersprint full stepped headers (p/n 044001) and then to any section 2. These cats are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed). Supersprint exhaust is widely recognized as the leader in complete exhaust system upgrades - extremely high quality, well designed for optimal flow, and amazing sound. These Supersprint section 1 straight pipes are designed to follow the larger pipe sizing of the Supersprint stepped headers. With straight pipes and headers, there will be no cats in the system, making this perfect for race or track-only cars. The straight design will be louder and let more of the S54 rasp to come through. With headers and the Supersprint race mufflers the sound is simply intoxicating. You can use this section with any other section 2 pipe and muffler.
