This is a drop-in stock replacement aFe performance air filter that installs into your BMW's factory airbox. This particular filter fits the following BMWs:

This version has an oil-free filter media for less maintenance. For the best flowing filter, with the best performance gain, we always recommend the standard aFe "Pro5R " filter (which has a blue pre-oiled filter media), but this oil-free filter flows only slightly less than the blue Pro5R style aFe filter, and requires no re-oiling after cleaning the filter.

This is a drop-in stock replacement aFe performance air filter that installs into your BMW's factory airbox. This version uses aFe's highest flowing filter media, which uses a lightly oil gauze to filter out dirt and particulates, while allowing more air to flow to the intake. For the best flowing filter, with the best performance gain, we always recommend this standard aFe filter media (often called "Pro5R ", which has a blue pre-oiled filter media). We also carry this filter in the "ProDry" grey filter media, which is oil-free for only slightly less performance and no maintenance.

A bad DISA valve can cause a variety of issues, from a loud racket in the engine bay, hesitation at low rpm and a rough idle with lean codes.

If the valve is making a loud noise, we recommend replacing it as soon as possible. It is possible for the pin holding the flap to be sucked into the motor causing serious damage.

Very easy to replace, just need to undo the 4 bolts holding it to the intake manifold.

The mass air sensor/meter measures the volume of air being fed into the engine so that the fuel levels can be adjust for optimal performance. A faulty sensor can lead to improper fuel mixture and rough idle and poor performance and gas mileage. Replace your faulty sensor with a high quality OEM VDO sensor to restore normal operation.

This secondary air pump helps to reduce emissions by mixing fresh air with the exhaust. When this part fails cause a engine fault code and it will trigger a "service engine soon" light.
