BMW S54 VAC Performance Coated Rod Bearing Kit is highly regarded by BMW engine builders worldwide for its superior quality and performance. Ideal for both forced induction and naturally aspirated builds, these coated bearings are designed to be friction-resistant, reducing the risk of thermal breakdowns due to inadequate lubrication. This feature significantly decreases the chances of premature engine failure in street cars and minimizes the risk of spun bearings during high-stress track conditions.

The VAC Performance Coated Rod Bearing Kit is proven to help maintain engine reliability, even in situations with reduced oil pressure.

• Enhanced Durability: Coated bearings are friction-resistant, reducing the risk of thermal breakdown.
• Increased Reliability: Helps prevent premature engine failure and spun bearings under stress.
• Versatile Performance: Suitable for both forced induction and naturally aspirated engine builds.
• Proven Track Record: Tested by customers to ensure reliable performance even with oil pressure loss.

VAC Tech Notes:

• Ensure proper tolerance and size checks before installation.
• Professional installation is recommended due to specialized tools required.
• Returns are not available on any engine bearings.

For the US E36 M3. Schrick 264/256 degree camshafts boost mid-high end power for that extra motivation at higher rpm. Low-end torque is not seriously affected due to the M50/M52s VAN0S System. And, higher profile cams work extremely well with an upgraded intake and exhaust. When upgrading the cams there are other areas you must take into consideration. Higher-flow fuel injectors, larger mass-air sensor, and custom programming are strongly recommended. Turner Motorsport sells complete intake & cam packages that boost power to over 290hp. See the Engine section under Camshafts for more info.

Cam Specs:

Still looking for more power after bolt-ons? High performance camshafts from Schrick are the way to go. These cams are a direct replacement for the stock cams and give a solid 15+ horsepower boost at the top end and great midrange torque increases too! More gains can be expected with intake and header upgrades and custom software tuning. A slightly lumpy idle is expected at cold start but will be smooth once at operating temperature. This set is just a great all-around cam upgrade for the S54!

These Schrick cams were initially developed for the M3 CSL but they also work great on the US and other non-CSL S54 engines as well. With more duration they are a great match to high flow headers, no cats, or CSL intake manifold upgrades. These are the new "cast" cams from Schrick which require new rocker arms (Schrick recommended or BMW part #11337833259). Professional installation is a must due to the intricacies with the double VAN0S.

Piston Ring - Priced Per Piston | BMW M54 3.0L Engine is a vital component in maintaining proper compression and oil control in BMW M54 3.0L engines. Over time, piston rings experience wear from continuous movement within the cylinder bore, leading to decreased engine efficiency. Worn or damaged rings can result in excessive oil consumption, reduced performance, and visible black or blue smoke from the exhaust. Ideal for engine rebuilds, this high-quality replacement ensures optimal sealing and longevity.

• Restores proper compression and oil control for improved engine performance
• Reduces oil consumption and minimizes exhaust smoke
• Direct-fit replacement for BMW M54 3.0L engine pistons
• Manufactured from high-strength materials for durability and longevity
• Essential for engine rebuilds and maintaining peak efficiency
