Oiling System for BMW Z3 (1996-2002)

When we designed this catch we wanted to have the most function options available, the best separation method, and the easiest to service. The Turner engineered catch cans offer a pre-setup design based ion desired flow direction, however this does not limit you to this flow. The inner baffle orientation can be easily adjusted to flow in both directions in case you decide to move this catch can to a different vehicle. A 4 chamber system  baffle system inside the catch can was engineered to create multiple changes in the direction of airflow within the separator to cause oil droplets to fall out of suspension before exiting the catch can. Having a closed / recirculated design reduces oil ingestion and promotes cleaner emissions and odor-less operation.

Our catch can was also designed with the idea that the cans fill level can easily be checked with a top mounted dipstick and an optional use bottom drain hole. The drain hole can be used with a valve and hose to be mounted at a lower area of the vehicle so when you're doing an oil change you can drain the catch can.

Features:

• 6061-T6 billet machined body, anodized black for lasting protection and appearance
• Strategically positioned 4 chamber baffle system maximizes oil / air separation
• Knurled and black anodized oil dipstick makes inspecting oil volume of reservoir clean and simple
• Sealed with a pre-installed viton O-Ring
• Includes 2.5mm allen key to remove baffle plates for cleaning
• Engineered to create multiple changes in the direction of airflow within the separator to cause oil droplets to fall out of suspension before exiting the catch can
• Closed / recirculated design reduces oil ingestion and promotes cleaner emissions and odor-less operation
• Optional use drain hole (valve and hose sold separately, watch for our model specific drain kits!)

Through experimentation and data acquired from our E36 World Challenge Touring Cars, it was discovered that in long corners and under heavy braking that there was an oil starvation problem in the M50 and M52 engines. This system was developed to keep oil in the sump and eliminate the starvation problem. After several iterations, further testing and data acquisition in the Touring Cars showed that this system eliminates the problem of oil starvation. This is a less expensive alternative to replacing the stock oil pan with the factory BMW M3 Lightweight oil pan, while still achieving the similar results.

A beautiful addition and durable upgrade for your engine

Tired of staring at that bright red plastic oil dipstick? Waiting for a way to add a nice touch to your engine bay without going over the top? ECS Tuning is proud to announce the billet aluminum oil dipstick! Designed to OE specifications with an easy-to-read fill line, offered in three different finishes. Available in black, polished, or clear anodized, we have an offering for every type of enthusiast. Not only does it look better, but also performs better. Because of the durability, it is easier to insert than the factory ribbon dipstick. So, no more fighting with your dipstick to re-install it.

Modern emission regulations require a closed PCV/Breather system for cleaner operation. However, inefficient oil particle capture can lead to excessive oil vapor ingestion, causing carbon buildup, reduced performance, and fuel economy. ECS Tuning's updated ECS Baffled Oil Catch Can, now with an easy-to-empty 1/4" drain fitting, is engineered to collect toxic blow-by gases, minimize carbon deposits, and reduce oil contamination within engine oil. Recirculating oil vapor ensures emissions compliance without venting to the atmosphere.

• Key Features:
• Highly Efficient Oil Separator: Strategically positioned 4 chamber baffle system maximizes oil/air separation and minimizes oil droplets in the intake tract.
• Integrated Dipstick: Knurled and black anodized oil dipstick simplifies oil volume inspection.
• Reservoir: Available in 6oz or 8oz capacity with a 1/4" NPT drain plug fitting.
• Serviceable: Easily removable baffle plates and drain plug for cleaning.
• Easy/Customizable Installation: Combine with the ECS Universal Bracket Kit for simplified installation and adjustable mounting locations.
• Leak-Free Fittings: Machined -10AN ORB (O-Ring Boss) fittings available for secure connections (fittings sold separately).

ECS Tuning introduces the solution to your engine bay aesthetic concerns with the Billet Aluminum Oil Dipstick. Say goodbye to the bright red plastic eyesore and elevate your under-the-hood style effortlessly. Designed to OE specifications, this dipstick boasts an easy-to-read fill line and is available in three stunning finishes: black, polished, or clear anodized.

Upgrade your engine bay's appearance and functionality with the ECS Tuning Billet Aluminum Oil Dipstick. No more struggles reinstalling your dipstick; enjoy a sleek and high-performing addition to your vehicle.

Fix oil leaks on your BMW's passenger side engine with Turner Motorsport's CPV O-ring replacement. The O-ring failure in the CPV typically leads to slow oil leaks, and now you can address this issue at a fraction of the cost by replacing the O-ring instead of the entire CPV. Unlike the OEM Buna rubber, the new Viton Fluoroelastomer used in this O-ring is resistant to higher temperatures, ensuring prolonged life without leaks.

• Cost-effective solution for oil leaks on the passenger side of the engine
• Replaces the CPV O-ring without replacing the entire CPV
• Viton Fluoroelastomer resistant to higher temperatures
• Prolonged life without leaks
• Addresses O-ring failure due to heat cycling and oil exposure
