The camber setting in your alignment is one of the most crucial aspects of your suspension and the overall driving experience. Unfortunately, most BMWs do not have a camber adjustment in the front and a limited adjustment in the rear. This can be frustrating because camber comes into play whenever you make changes to the suspension or when you want more negative camber for more grip and better handling. There are multiple reasons to adjust camber -

• You want more front end grip to reduce understeer and create a more balanced handling scenario,
•  You have lowered the car and need to reduce negative camber due to inside tire wear
•  You added wider tires or wheels and need extra clearance to bodywork,
•  Your car was in an accident or collision and the camber setting is now wrong. Note: there may be other factors to this situation and we recommend finding the root cause rather than a quick-fix.

We offer front fixed or adjustable camber plates or camber/caster plates, rear adjustable camber arms, and rear adjustable camber bushings from KMAC, Vorshlag, and also our own designs to fit your specific needs. In most cases, these adjustable camber kits are a direct replacement for the stock BMW part, enabling a seamless upgrade. Adjustable camber can be dialed-in using ordinary hand tools and most kits have reference marks for consistent and repeatable adjustments. No drilling, slotting, or welding required! Some kits perform specific functions and fit with specific types of suspensions (stock, stock-type, coil-over, etc). These E46 fixed camber plates are designed from knowledge gained from our highly successful racing campaigns with the E46 in the Speed World Challenge series. These plates are offset for the best camber and caster combination for racing purposes when using the stock-diameter sized springs. Camber increases to between -2.5Adeg to -3.0Adeg, depending on each individual car. While ride height is increased by 1/4", the benefit of these plates far outweighs the minor ride height increase. The rate of camber change is virtually unaffected throughout the range of suspension travel, reducing the need for other geometry correction. Material has also been added to increase surface contact area therefore reducing the strut tower deformation and increasing the strength of the strut towers. Fixed mount camber plates are legal in many racing and autocross classes. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class. These are a simple bolt on part for all E46 except the xi and M3 models.

These plates simply bolt on top of the factory upper strut bearings and increase negative camber by 2 degrees. We maximized the available camber available with a stock-diameter sized spring. Vehicle height in the front will be raised by .25". We also added material to the surface area of the mount to increase stiffness of contact area, therefore reducing the strut tower deformation and increasing the strength of the strut towers. These fixed steel camber plates for your E30/E24/E28 will add 3/4 degree of negative camber and will reduce understeer during hard cornering and save the outside edge of your tire. These plates mount to the top of the upper strut bearing and relocate the top of the strut further in. Combine these with the BMW offset upper strut bearings for even more negative camber. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class. We used these in our ultra-successful J-Stock suspension as they maximize the available camber in the tire well when using the large, stock-diameter springs.

Our Rod-End Camber Arms deliver the ultimate in precise camber adjustments and a free-motion design, thanks to the finest rod-end bearings available. We use high-quality stainless, PTFE-lined bearing joints made by the best manufacturers in the business. These bearings are self-lubricating with a PTFE fabric liner for long life and quiet operation. The bodies and threads are heat treated stainless steel. Without spending hundreds of dollars per bearing, these are the best on the market.

Over time, and depending on use and application, the bearing can develop play which does not adversely affect the performance but will make a "clicking" noise. We have a spec tolerance of .015" before recommending replacement. The bearing itself will continue to rotate freely and the camber arm will function as normal. But should you want to replace the rod-end because of the noise, or to meet track inspection requirements, we offer this replacement end. As far as we know this rod-end fits only our BMW rear camber arms and no other brand, although it may have other applications. Price is per rod-end.

The Turner E46 M3 Street Camber Plates are the most advanced design on the market. These are designed specifically for the E46 M3 - no shortcuts or cookie-cutter components. We started with a fresh design to make these very user friendly and easy to install and set up. The E46 M3 front suspension has unique geometry and the strut is mounted at an angle that can put significant side loading on the strut shaft if it's not located properly. The location and angles for the main bearing were carefully engineered to allow the proper motion ratio and strut angles during adjustment. This greatly reduces bending forces on the strut itself which improves performance and longevity. By designing for one chassis we're able to focus on what works best in that application - proper fitment and operation without unnecessary adapters, easy-to-use camber and caster adjustments, and an intelligent modular design.

For street use we added a pliable urethane bushing to absorb vibration and a special base design that works with the factory radial bearing and spring perch. The radial bearing allows the spring to rotate instead of twisting and binding. By re-using the factory radial bearing we can keep the assembled stack height lower for maximized shock travel. It's also a commonly-available item that you can get from any BMW dealer at a low price. All of the things that make it work well in the factory application carry over to our design. You can use our camber plates with a stock sized spring, 60mm, or 2.5" springs. Use your stock spring perch/bearing with stock-sized springs. The 60mm and 2.5" upper spring perches are sold separately. The beauty of our design is that you can use the factory radial bearing with any of these springs.

Another important feature of the Turner Camber Plates is the size of the upper plate. Our plates have a very large surface area to better spread strut forces through the strut tower. A smaller upper plate, like those found on competitor's kits, will localize strut forces and contribute to strut tower deformation ('strut tower mushrooming'). This is a very important feature especially as these cars get older and spend more time on the track. Deformed strut towers are a serious performance and safety concern and our camber plates are properly designed to handle the loads. The factory strut reinforcement plates are not required with our camber plates (but you can use them if you want to).

Since this design is specific to the E46 M3, we can build it with the bare minimum of adapters and extra hardware. This not only cuts down on confusion but makes it easier to assemble and operate. We use the correct-sized bearing for the 16mm strut shaft; no sleeves or bearing adapters required. The original tapered lower mount support and a small stainless steel spacer from our kit are all that's required to install. We have used our camber plates with most of the major strut manufacturers on the market - stock Sachs/Boge, Bilstein, Koni, H&R, ST, and KW. Our camber plates work with any strut that is designed to accept the factory strut mount.

These front adjustable camber/caster plates will replace your stock front upper strut bearing. The KMAC plates are a 'floating' design so camber and caster are adjusted together. This design allows maximum range of adjustment since no other hardware interferes with the adjustments. Since these replace your stock strut bearings they are designed to work with a stock-type spring only. And when installed correctly will not significantly alter ride height. Adjustment is easily done by loosening the three nuts on top of the tower and sliding the camber plate into the position you want, then re-tighten the nuts. These mounts can be installed two ways - for camber correction or swapped side-side for increasing negative camber. Detailed instructions included.

Building on years of building some of the most used (and talked about!) Street and Race camber plates for the E46 M3 has brought us to the next iteration of this key suspension component. Introducing the Turner Motorsport Hybrid Street/Track Caster/Camber Plate designed exclusively for the E46 M3.

Front caster/camber plates play a key role in suspension configuration - providing a point to adjust alignment in the front of the vehicle. Without camber plates, it is not possible to dial in proper street and track alignment specifications to maximize handling and tire wear. A properly configured alignment is frequently the difference between a good car and a great car, trailing the pack and pace-setting lap times, frustrating tire wear and long tire life, or exhilarating handling and a car that fights through the turns.

Understanding the needs of a track enthusiast, our Race camber plates allow for zero deflection and are ideal for a dedicated track vehicle. For a dedicated street vehicle, our Street camber plates are another tried-and-true option that are comfortable and perform very well. Hearing the call from customers that don't fall cleanly into one of these groups, we've designed the best of both worlds - a rebuildable polyurethane-isolated spherical bearing, or as we call it, a "hybrid" design. These camber plates deliver exceptional lifespan, high performance, with excellent road manners.

We paid extra attention to the bearing we selected, knowing we needed a bearing that would not only be quiet, but reliable. Tens of thousands of street and track miles on a variety of applications yielded zero failures of the high quality PTFE-lined, maintenance-free stainless steel monoball spherical FK bearing. One of our secrets in enabling this high-performance bearing to function to its full potential is the 80a polyurethane isolation bushing. We identified just the right material density to allow for absorption of road noise while allowing dampers to articulate precisely and predictably. This tiny bit of cushion takes the brunt of potholes and rough roads, protecting the bearing from wear which may otherwise lead to premature failure. Equally critical to maximizing bearing life is the addition of dust seals to prevent moisture and dirt contamination. To top it all off, the entire assembly is rebuildable in the event that, over the years, a component does wear out.

By re-using the OEM spring perch and radial bearing, we've avoided supporting the weight of the vehicle on the strut shaft monoball - further extending the life of the bearing and mimicking a well-designed factory element. Spring perches for 60mm or 2.5" springs are also available; use of factory-style springs requires no additional perch. Inspect the shocks you plan on using these with, measuring the shock diameter (16mm or 14mm) and inspecting the seat (square or tapered) to ensure you select the correct kit for your application. But if you're running a stock setup on the track or autocross you are giving up speed and time as the front tires run out of grip sooner than they should.&Newline; &Newline; Designed in-house for the highest quality and versatility possible, we are confident our Hybrid Camber Plates are the perfect solution for your BMW M3! &Newline; &Newline; The first requirement we had envisioned for our plates is wide adjustability while the struts are still installed. This is to ensure that your suspension can be dialed in for either street or track without any issues. Our plates offer 3+ degrees of camber adjustment and 2.5+ degrees of caster adjustment.&Newline; &Newline; The next key feature of our camber plates is long term reliability. To achieve this, maintenance free, PTFE lined, stainless steel spherical monoballs were utilized along with replaceable 80A polyurethane bushings, giving these plates a long bearing life and reduced NVH. To further increase longevity, the bearing design features upper and lower seals to keep out moisture and contaminants.&Newline; &Newline; The final and most important design requirement was how these plates worked specifically with the E9X M3. To guarantee these plates were the best choice for your BMW, we designed these camber plates with as large of a surface area as possible to ensure even distribution of forces throughout the strut tower, preventing common mushrooming or cracking of the thin OE steel mounting location. We managed to accomplish this by staying close to the original suspension geometry, adding 13.5mm of height to the stock shock pin position and only 3.5mm overall to ride height. This ended up further benefitting vehicles with lowered suspension by improving shock travel distance and reducing the risk of bottoming out.&Newline; &Newline; These camber plates are fully compatible with OEM bump stops, factory style springs or race springs. and include hardware that accommodates both square seat and tapered seat shock pins.&Newline; &
