Our renowned TMS adjustable front sway bar / swaybar links for BMWs are now available in custom lengths, making them easy to order for any aftermarket or custom suspension setups. Simply measure for your ideal link length, and order the links with the best length range (below). Each sway bar link has a 10mm diameter mounting pin/stud, which is the typical factory/stock size for a universal fitment. These are sold by the pair, and each set includes two matching sway bar end links.

These end links offer the quiet operation and long life of "stock" BMW end links, but with the strength and adjustability of rod-end style sway bar links. These sway bar links can be used on a wide variety of BMWs and aftermarket BMW suspensions. When measuring, please consider that the length ranges of our Custom Adjustable end links are measured from the center to center on the end link mounting stud / pin, as shown in our diagram.

Note for E9X M3: the unique mounting on the M3 strut requires a set of our adapter seats (#TSU9912AF9). You can add them with your links from the menu below.

You get the best of both worlds with this pair of Turner Motorsport adjustable sway bar links. We searched far and wide to find the hidden gem of swaybar links. You get the same quiet operation and long life as the stock links plus the strength and adjustability of rod-end style sway bar links.

With the wide range of suspensions and sway bars available today adjustable sway bar links can help you with many problems. Along with the ability to remove preload you can change the length to maximize sway bar geometry. Example: if the sway bar hoop comes too close to the steering rack, oil cooler, or under tray in its suspension travel you can adjust it by simply lengthening or shorting the adjustment rod. In some cases you may need a longer or shorter adjustment rod to achieve optimal geometry. We also offer these same links in other custom lengths (click here) that may not be specific to BMW chassis.

Features:

  • Adjustable to neutralize preload on sway bar (balanced handling)
  • The ability to set sway bar geometry and clearance
  • Low friction ball joints
  • High articulation
  • Direct replacement for OEM sway bar links
  • Watertight boot seal
  • Ball joint is made by a world leader in ball joint technology, THK. THK's OEM Customers: BMW, Porsche, Ford, GM, Nissan, Honda, and Toyota

Trailing arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Lowering your BMW does wonders for appearance and handling, but it also changes suspension geometry in ways that can hurt performance. As ride height changes, angles between the sway bar, control arms, and axles shift, which can cause binding, poor fitment, and added stress on the factory fixed-length end links. This is especially noticeable on cars equipped with coilover suspension, where slight height differences side to side can preload the sway bar and lead to inconsistent handling.

Our team of dedicated BMW enthusiasts set out to address this common issue with Adjustable Rear Sway Bar End Links. Designed with performance in mind, they offer a fully adjustable range from 100mm to 120mm, helping eliminate preload, restore proper suspension alignment, and improve overall sway bar function. Constructed from high-quality billet aluminum, these end links are built to outlast the factory cast components and are finished with a black anodized coating for excellent corrosion resistance. Laser-etched wrench size markings allow for quick, easy adjustments while installed on the vehicle. Unlike the factory design, these end links use spherical rod ends at the control arm for increased responsiveness and a more direct handling feel. These end links feature a bolt-through bushing design, which is compatible with most adjustable aftermarket sway bars. Mounting hardware is included for easy installation.

Features & Benefits:

Adjustable from 100mm to 120mm Strong 6061-T6 billet aluminum construction Black anodized finish resists corrosion Spherical rod ends improve response and handling feel Polyurethane bushing with knurled bore helps retain grease Fits most aftermarket sway bars with bolt-through attachment Laser-etched markings for quick and easy adjustments

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. This single swaybar link is adjustable to eliminate preload on the front sway bar in E30 M3, E36 M3, E46, and Z4 models. Preload is tension on the bar when the car is at rest on the ground. Ideally, the bar should be neutral with zero tension on both ends (no twist in the bar at rest). Preload comes from inconsistent side-side ride height (such as with coil overs), a bent swaybar, a bent strut housing, or a chassis with bent or skewed frame rails. The handling is affected with a preloaded sway bar so removing that tension will give you more consistent handling and response. Preloading can also lead to premature failure of the link ball joints.

To remove preload you only need an adjustable link on one side of the car. Install your stock swaybar link on one side, lower the car to the ground, adjust the Turner link to meet the swaybar hole on the other side, and tighten everything up. Never install both sway bar links with the tires off the ground. Our link is made from a stock HD swaybar link with an easily adjusted hex rod in the middle.

One link or two? Technically, the remove preload only one link is required. However, there may be cases where having two links is better. Having an adjustable link on both sides of the car will allow you to better position the front sway bar for clearance or when a different racing style coil over is used.

The Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings for the BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 5 Series are designed specifically for motorsport and high-performance driving, offering superior stiffness and durability compared to stock rubber bushings. These bushings are part of the Black Series range, engineered for maximum control and precision under demanding conditions. Here's a detailed breakdown: Ultra-Stiff Polyurethane Compound: The Black Series bushings use an extra-hard polyurethane formulation that provides exceptional rigidity. This stiffness helps reduce any unwanted flex or movement in the rear trailing arms, which is critical for maintaining suspension alignment during high-speed cornering, acceleration, and braking. Motorsport-Level Performance: Designed for track-focused setups, these bushings deliver enhanced precision and control over the rear suspension. The reduced deflection ensures that the rear wheels stay properly aligned to the road, offering superior handling and grip. This is especially beneficial during aggressive driving or competitive racing, where suspension consistency is crucial. Improved Handling Dynamics: With these bushings, you'll experience significantly sharper turn-in response, reduced body roll, and better overall handling. The rear of the car becomes more stable, and the car’s behavior more predictable, making it easier to manage in high-performance environments or during spirited driving. Extreme Durability: The Powerflex Black Series bushings are designed to withstand the intense conditions of track use. They resist wear and tear from heat, oil, and road contaminants, far outlasting traditional rubber bushings. This makes them ideal for race cars or heavily modified street cars that are frequently subjected to extreme forces. Reduced Flex for Maximum Suspension Efficiency: By minimizing movement in the rear trailing arm, the bushings allow the suspension to operate at its full potential. This leads to more consistent handling and tire contact, which improves both grip and acceleration, especially when pushing the car to its limits on the track. More Direct Feedback: The increased stiffness of the Black Series bushings allows for better transmission of road feel through the chassis, providing the driver with more accurate feedback. This gives a more connected driving experience, ideal for competitive driving where control and feel are critical. Perfect Fit for BMW E24 / E28 / E32 / E34: These bushings are designed to replace the OEM rear trailing arm bushings on the BMW E24 6 Series, E28 5 Series, E32 7 Series, and E34 5 Series models. They offer a direct fit, making installation relatively straightforward for anyone familiar with suspension work, although professional installation is recommended for proper alignment. Increased NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness): Due to their extreme stiffness, the Powerflex Black Series bushings will increase the amount of NVH transmitted through the car. While this is acceptable for track use, it may not be ideal for daily-driven vehicles where comfort is a priority. In conclusion, the Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings are the ultimate choice for BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 owners seeking uncompromised performance and durability on the track. These bushings offer a significant upgrade in handling and stability, making them ideal for motorsport applications or heavily modified street cars where precision and control are paramount. However, the trade-off is an increase in NVH, which makes them more suitable for track-focused builds rather than everyday use.

One of the tricks for getting your BMW to handle better is to add negative camber to the front wheels. This will put more of the tire's width in contact with the ground during cornering. With more rubber there is more grip. BMWs typically have less camber in the front to create understeer. But if you're running a stock setup on the track or autocross you are giving up speed and time as the front tires run out of grip sooner than they should.

These fixed steel camber plates for your E30/E24/E28 will add 3/4 degree of negative camber and will reduce understeer during hard cornering and save the outside edge of your tire. These plates mount to the top of the upper strut bearing and relocate the top of the strut further in. Combine these with the BMW offset upper strut bearings for even more negative camber. These are the perfect camber solution when adjustable plates are not allowed in your class. We used these in our ultra-successful J-Stock suspension as they maximize the available camber in the tire well when using the large, stock-diameter springs.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle.
