Servicing your brake system with the best possible fluids for your setup is just what your BMW needs to have the perfect pedal feel and performance. Perform brake services that involve bleeding brake fluid with our recommended bleeder tools to get the job done quickly and effectively for the shortest downtime. All the fluids and specific tools you need are listed on this page and ready to help keep your BMW brake system in perfect working order
Braking systems aren't indestructible, they require proper maintenance and care to keep contaminants and moisture free from the system. A full brake fluid flush is recommended to be performed at every 2 years or 30,000 miles, whichever occurs first (Intervals may vary for vehicles used on the track, check fluid specifications for more details). A proper flush removes debris left in the system from failed seals or deposits and ensures that the system is moisture free, to help prevent future rust or clogging issues. This kit includes everything you need to perform a proper brake fluid flush and refill using a fluid that features a greater boiling point for performance based applications. Includes: Schwaben European Pressure Bleeder Schwaben Catch Bottle Set Ate TYP 200 DOT 4 Brake Fluid - 1 Liter Schwaben Brake Bleeder Wrench **A typical flush only requires 1 liter of fluid to replace all of your old brake fluid.

Modern brake systems, such as those featuring ABS and ESP®, are designed for improved performance to safely stop vehicles. With improved performance comes a higher load on the braking systems. These systems require a brake fluid with a high wet boiling point, low viscosity, and high lubricity. As a vehicle system developer and the first to market ABS and inventor of ESP®, Bosch understands the need for high-quality brake fluid. Bosch ESI6 is a next-generation brake fluid. It exceeds all current DOT standard requirements (FMVSS 116).

Synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid. Boiling Point - Dry: 536 Degrees Fahrenheit / Wet: 392 Degrees Fahrenheit. The original and still our most popular high performance brake fluid.
The Ate DOT 5.1 fluid is a low viscosity formula for modern ABS and DSC systems. BMW recommends low viscosity brake fluid for all chassis beginning with the E60 5-series. Low viscosity (LV) is a thinner fluid that works better than a normal fluid in the small channels and passageways in the ABS/DSC pump. Using the heavier fluid will result in a delayed response to ABS and DSC activation and a spongy feel in the brake pedal (only during ABS stops). A low viscosity fluid replacing DOT 4 fluid. Boiling point - Dry 265°C (509°F) / Wet 180°C (347°F) Sold per liter (1,000mL).

Low viscosity brake fluid specifically formulated for the quickest response and outstanding performance in modern vehicles with electronic safety systems such as ESP / ABS / TC systems. High wet and dry boiling points combined with unique inhibitors for excellent performance and optimum corrosion protection in all conditions. The synthetic formulation uses a base of glycol ethers, alkyl polyglycols, and polyglycol esters which provide ultimate brake system lubrication and protection. Compatible with high-quality synthetic brake fluids. However, optimum product performance is only possible when the product is used unmixed. Always follow manufacturers' instructions!
