The Achilles Motorsports Oil Pan Baffle was designed and manufactured to be used on racing, high-performance track, and street driven cars. Each baffle is precision laser cut from .090" heat-treated aluminum then hand-assembled and test fit to ensure accuracy and ease of installation. Achilles Motorsports' baffle design incorporates dual trap doors and a unique oil deflector that prevents oil from splashing out of the sump under hard braking. Together, these help minimize the sloshing of the oil inside the oil pan and keep oil accumulated around your pickup tube. The factory BMW oil pan doesn't do a very good job of keeping oil accumulated around the oil pick-up tube in high g-force situations. By keeping oil accumulated around the pickup tube you can eliminate the costly loss of oil pressure and potential damage to other vital engine parts commonly caused by high g-forces from hard acceleration and braking and high-speed cornering. Professional welding is required for installation! During installation, while the oil pan is removed, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND upgrading your factory oil pump with the Achilles Motorsport Upgraded Oil Pump Shaft Kit (T#1150772). After numerous instances of sheered-off oil pump shafts and oil pump nuts coming loose, resulting in an instant loss of oil pressure, Achilles decided to come up with a solution - Don't let it happen to you!

The early M5X engines have well-documented issues caused by harmonics. The extreme vibrations cause the weak oil pump shaft to shear off or the oil pump nut to come loose and fall off, all of which results in an instant loss of oil pressure. Achilles Motorsports decided to develop a solution to fix all of these known issues. Achilles takes their oil pump shafts to the extreme, using only the toughest materials and heat treatment processes to ensure optimum strength. The core of this kit is a hardened Chromoly shaft that is centerless ground to ensure absolute trueness. The shaft is engineered with an exclusive square key lock system that not only prevents the gear from ever spinning on the shaft but also adds strength to the area to which the gear mounts. Achilles Motorsports then replaced the pesky oil pump nut with an extended length bolt that is EDM drilled for safety wire to properly secure it for all conditions. Don't wait for your oil pump to fail and leave you stuck with costly engine repairs! Key Features: Hardened Chromoly centerless ground shaft EDM Drilled Bolt with a piece of safety wire included Grade 8 extended length hardware to secure the gear to the shaft Left hand threaded to prevent it from unexpectedly coming loose Double-D keyed shaft and drive gear 100% serviceable & rebuildable without the need for grinding. Replacement oil filter kit for many 6 cylinder BMWs (see list below). Fits M50, S50, S52 (US) engines that have the aluminum cap on the oil filter housing. This filter is the equivalent to BMW part number 11421730389.

This part may also come up as a replacement for BMW part number 11427833769. We have updated our applications to list the Mahle OX187 as the OEM replacement for the BMW 769 number. The OX68D can be used too but the OX187 is better suited to the extended oil changes that BMW recommends for cars made after 1999.

This filter fits the following BMWs:
