In our pursuit of absolute strength, the Forged VS-5RE was given dramatically thicker spokes, our thickest ever Enduro Spec inner lip, and a substantially reinforced outer lip. When all put together, the VS-5RE is rated at an impressive 2100 lb max load. A major increase over its Sprint Line counterpart sitting at a 1600 lb load rating. To achieve this level of strength, our engineers added a considerable amount of material to the areas where it matters most. This does come with a bit of a weight penalty, however a host of weight saving measures have been implemented to minimize its effect. Deep spoke scalloping is utilized to shave material from the sides of spokes without compromising strength. Outer lip pocketing, a feature only seen on the Enduro Line within the Apex catalog, does away with excess material on the outer lip between each spoke. If you're tracking your BMW you should absolutely have stickier rubber on wider wheels. Most BMWs have a staggered wheel set with a narrow front wheel that results in understeer. Adding a wider wheel will get you more rubber where it counts - reducing understeer and improving initial turn-in. Square wheel sets of the same size and offset also allow you to rotate tires around to get the most life out of pricey track tires. We have put this wheel set together using four APEX 10.0" wheels in a ET25 offset. A 10" wheel allows for 275-285 performance or R-comp tires. This is a very aggressive offset and custom alignment settings will be required. Trimming of plastic fender liners or fender rolling may also be required depending on tire size/type and ride height.

All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit to most any 1-series (E82), 3-series (E36, E46, E90, E92, F30), Z3, and Z4-series BMWs. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve. APEX light alloy wheels are the next evolution in flow-forged wheel technology for BMWs. Flow-forming is a semi-forging process that produces a wheel typically stronger than a traditional cast wheel yet is still light weight. The wheels are around 10lbs lighter per wheel than a comparable factory wheel! That's reduced unsprung weight that improves all aspects of performance. All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit to most any 1-series (E82), 3-series (E36, E46, E90, E92, F30), Z3, and Z4-series BMWs. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve. Using FEM analysis the engineers at BBS are able to precisely measure and optimize wheel properties before this process even begins. Once the forging process is complete, the meticulous finish work begins.
Back-milling is a process used to optimize the ratio between weight and stability. Using advanced computer analysis and a special CNC milling process the lateral parts that hold the wheel spokes, and are not relevant for stability, are removed. Extensive real-world simulation is used at this point to further ensure that no strength or stability has been lost.
Finally, BBS pays special attention in machining the undercut or back side of the wheel. To machine the undercut, all areas on the inner side of the wheel and the star hub that correspond to weight optimization are processed with special turning or milling tools and excess material is removed to reduce the rotating wheel mass. Special attention is hereby given to the optimization of the inner sides of the spokes and the bolt circle. With the application of these methods, BBS is able to produce more complex forms with increased stability and less material input.
These wheels come in Diamond Black with a diamond cut lip and BBS ensures that their paint quality exceeds OE manufacturer specifications for durability and longevity. A final protective clear coat layer ensures that these wheels will be easy to clean and look amazing for years to come.

Whether you are looking to replace your old stock wheel lug bolts, or need longer bolts to accommodate wheel spacers or for other special considerations, our black wheel bolts are probably what you need. They are high grade (10.9) and feature a durable black finish. These are 12 x 1.5mm bolts with a 17mm head -- as used on most BMWs. Replaces BMW part numbers 36136781150 and 36131095390.

The standard length wheel bolts are for stock BMWs, and the longer length bolts are listed below (select your length with the drop down box) with the size / thickness wheel spacers they are suitable for. Longer wheel bolts are only 20 cents more than standard, and are available in lengths to work with spacers up to 20mm thick. Please select your desired length below (default is the standard/stock BMW length bolt).

Price is for a set of 10 bolts.
