The factory boost solenoids, also known as pressure converters, are a common issue on the M57 engine. The vacuum hose also hardens over time due to heat, and can crack or split, leading to vacuum leaks. These failures result in a loss of power, limp mode, lazy throttle response, and check engine lights. This basic kit includes two replacement boost solenoids to restore engine power and performance, plus new silicon vacuum hose that will last much longer than the OE rubber vacuum hose.

The vibration damper in the E70 X5 35d is a common failure item and can fail at as low as 60 thousand miles leaving you stranded. This kit includes everything needed to replace your vibration damper and service your drive belt system! Vibration Dampers (also called Harmonic Dampers or Harmonic Balancers) absorb and remove unwanted vibrations due to torsional twisting of the crankshaft. During cylinder combustions, the crank quickly flexes ever so slightly, resulting in resonance vibrations. These vibrations could lead to damage of the crankshaft or crank bearings over time if not accounted for. The vibration damper helps to eliminate these vibrations, thereby extending the life of your engine's mechanical components and preventing damage. If your vibration damper has failed, you will likely notice excess engine vibrations or shaking that will gradually get worse, especially around certain RPMs where the vibration resonance is most pronounced. This kit includes all of the components necessary to replace your damper with an OEM damper from Corteco, including belts, pulleys, hardware, and more. Also included in this kit is a brand-new line of specialty tools from Schwaben designed specifically for this replacement! You will get a Crankshaft Pulley Turner Tool, Stretch Belt Remover/Installer, T50 Alternator Wrench, and a 15/16" Pass-Through Socket, all included to make swapping out your old damper a quick and easy process! As with many other BMW valve covers, replacing the M57 valve cover gasket requires numerous other parts to be removed before this gasket can be accessed. As you remove these parts, you expose other gaskets and components that can and should be replaced. This kit includes all of the gaskets, hardware, and a few other components we highly suggest replacing while completing the valve cover gasket replacement to prevent leaks and ensure your M57 continues running smoothly.
