A common cause of check engine light and limp mode after running the car hard. Restarting the car commonly clears the code and/or limp mode. This is useful for people who do not want dealers, techs, etc from accessing their OBD port, and possibly changing a tune, etc. This is also perfect for anti-theft prevention as it will not allow a would-be thief to hook up to the car’s OBD port, duplicate a key, etc. The OBD-LOCK cannot be removed without physically destroying the OBD port if you do not have the proper tools. A well-known issue with the N54 (and early N55) with Hydraulic power steering is the plastic pulley either hitting the subframe or simply breaking on its own. This can cause the belt to be ejected from the pulley, and leave you stranded with no serpentine belt. To top it off, if you continue to run the vehicle with the belt off, you also have a good chance of sucking the belt into the engine through the front seal. Put an end to the dreaded plastic Power Steering pulley issues with Vargas' 100% Billet Aluminum PS pulley. VTT makes these from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodizes them in one of 4 colors (Black, Red, Blue, and Clear) for a great look and long-lasting finish. These weigh 11Oz, very close to the weight of a stock pulley, and are lighter than the cast aluminum versions on the market.

Under certain conditions, the N55 crank hub likes to spin, without warning and even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines which press into the crank, and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). Features: Installs the same as a stock hub Does NOT require the crank to be drilled for pins Manufactured from Harndered 17-4SS We suggest the Crank Hub System ONLY be installed by a qualified shop or technician. The stock plastic can and small plastic nipples on the stock cans have a tendency to crank over time, and if they leak you will get low boost, or no boost, and poor performance. Looking to get rid of the troublesome and expensive DI injectors on your BMW N54 and move to PI only and a standalone? If so VTT has you covered with its new N54 PI delete kit. This kit allows you to SAFELY remove the DI injectors, install our delete fittings, and run PI only. We machined these deletes from 310 Stainless for extreme heat, and corrosion resistance, and include 3 hold downs. These DI deletes COMPLETELY get rid of all factory provisions, including the seal. If the seal is left intact with no fuel to cool the injector or delete it will quickly overheat and melt the delicate seal causing combustion gasses to escape the engine creating misfires, and worse possibly damaging your injector bore on the cylinder head. Our deletes are machined to be a press fit into the cylinder, and can be either cooled with liquid nitrogen, and dropped in, or tapped in with a hammer, and then held down with the included hold downs. We also include M6 tapped holes on the top of each one in case they need to be removed you can attach a slide hammer, and remove the delete. Anyone with a modified N54 knows the risks involved. Upping the performance of any engine can come with some inherent risk; if we add more boost but not fuel, detonation will occur (or worse). Furthermore, improper installation, maintenance, or operation can turn a perfectly healthy engine into a paperweight. The worst failures, however, are the ones we don't plan for. When the engine simply can't handle the stresses its put under, or the design is such that it simply does not support extreme conditions. Enter the N54 crank hub. Under certain conditions, it likes to spin without warning, even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines that press into the crank and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). Vargas spent many months testing, and retesting this design, utilizing well over 10 different samples to come to the final production version. During testing, the final hub managed to break the testing rig before slipping. These have been bench-tested, and real-world tested on the VTT N54 race car spinning 8K RPM, and making well over 900WHP. VTT is proud to offer their billet replacement for the factory plastic vacuum tanks that store vacuum from the pump and use it to regulate boost via the solenoids. The stock plastic can and small plastic nipples on the stock cans have a tendency to crank over time, and if they leak you will get low boost, or no boost, and poor performance. These cans do away with the weak plastic cans while adding some pop, and color to your engine bay. These vacuum cans retain ALL of the factory provisions including mounting points but come with 90-degree fittings for easier routing of the lines VTT's cans are made of 6061-T6 aluminum, and anodized in 4 colors for beauty, and long life. They also knurl the cans for a very distinct look in the engine bay! The factory plastic coolant connectors are prone to breaking over time, and the hoses are just your standard run of the mill coolant hose. We wanted to provide an upgrade to both areas. What we came up with is Billet 6061-T6 connectors anodized black for corrosion resistance, and 6 ply silicone molded silicone hoses in the factory shapes. A well-known issue with the N54 (and early N55) with Hydraulic power steering is the plastic pulley either hitting the subframe or simply breaking on its own. This can cause the belt to be ejected from the pulley, and leave you stranded with no serpentine belt. To top it off, if you continue to run the vehicle with the belt off, you also have a good chance of sucking the belt into the engine through the front seal. Put an end to the dreaded plastic Power Steering pulley issues with Vargas' 100% Billet Aluminum PS pulley. VTT makes these from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodizes them in one of 4 colors (Black, Red, Blue, and Clear) for a great look and long-lasting finish. These weigh 11Oz, very close to the weight of a stock pulley, and are lighter than the cast aluminum versions on the market.
