We understand the desire for a thrilling exhaust note without the annoyance of highway drone or interior vibrations. The ECS exhaust for your 135 incorporates this balance, offering a strategic blend of sportiness and practicality. Drawing from extensive experience, particularly with N54 cars like the E9x series, ECS has engineered an exhaust packed with innovative features, compatible with both factory and aftermarket downpipes. Prepare for a fresh new exhaust, things are about to get rowdy. This exhaust features twin 2.5" brushed pipes that slip fit and clamp onto your factory midpipes. The dual 2.5" mid-pipe adapter converges into a single 3" section heading toward the rear axle. The 3" exhaust section snakes through the rear section of the car making smooth dips and curves to make its way into a light-weight 3" turbo style muffler. Don't be fooled by the 135 muffler, the size is nothing but deceiving. The turbo-style muffler features an inner design that refines the exhaust note to perfection. An extraordinary mixture of both volume and smooth frequency. Paired with the 3" muffler is your choice of 3.5" exhaust tips that give your rear diffuser a sporty look that shouts performance.

The N5X family of engines marked the start of a new era for BMW. The all-new aluminum block powerplants featured a host of technical upgrades, aiding in power output, reliability, and performance. Among these technological advances is an external electronic water pump, which removed load from the engine's accessory drive and allowed for advanced pulse-width-modulated (PWM) control.
From factory, the N52's electronic water pump is limited to a measly 200W output—strong enough for daily driving, but lacking in performance applications. Recognizing this shortcoming, ECS engineers set out to create a high-flow water pump upgrade that doesn't break the bank. Their high-quality adapter wiring harness and bracket allow you to install a 400W N54 water pump without any modification, an effortless, yet effective upgrade that doubles the output of the factory water pump!
By increasing coolant flow capacity, the 400W pump improves heat extraction from the cylinder head and engine block during high-load operation. This added thermal headroom is particularly beneficial for modified engines, sustained aggressive driving, track use, or operation in elevated ambient temperatures where the factory pump can operate near its limits. Improved circulation helps maintain more stable coolant temperatures and reduces the risk of localized hot spots.

The perfect upgrade for the connection between your thermostat and cylinder head. Designed with durable silicone and billet aluminum to greatly outlast the OE rubber-and-plastic combination.
Some of the weakest points in BMW cooling systems can be the OE plastic fittings, which break down from constant temperature changes, softening these components. When this happens, even simply moving the hose slightly could cause the fitting to crack, causing the coolant to leak all over. The ECS design silicone hose with billet aluminum adapter retains OE fitment with superior strength to not only handle the performance, but also stand up to the wear and tear of a daily driver.
