Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Bilstein has teamed up with Eibach to offer matched shock and spring packages. These Eibach springs are mated to a special set of Bilstein shocks to deliver a sporty and taut ride with as little impact on ride comfort as possible.

The Pro Kit uses an Eibach Pro Kit spring with Bilstein's Sport shocks and struts. Instead of taking parts from different manufacturers, Bilstein has tested the performance of the Eibach spring and tailored their shocks to be a true match for the new spring rate and ride height. This is known as a matched shock and spring and very few tuning companies take these extra steps. Eibach springs tend to be softer overall than most other aftermarket springs, which ensures the ride stays close to a stock comfort while still giving you a lowered stance and improved handling.

Bilstein B12 Features:

  • Precise response and excellent driving performance
  • Springs and shocks road tested and fine-tuned to complement one another
  • Bilstein Monotube/Inverted gas pressure technology
  • TUV certified
  • Made In Germany
  • Average Lowering of 25 to 40mm

Most cars don't need coil overs to improve their handling and bodyroll. For most drivers, simply replacing the shocks and springs with performance versions will meet their goals. If your shocks need replacing, and you felt the handling could be improved a little bit, this is an excellent performance suspension for you.

ECS Polyurethane Subframe bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, ECS Polyurethane Subframe bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, ECS Polyurethane Subframe bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still maintaining enough comfort for the street. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure.

Key Benefits:

95A Polyurethane isolator reduces unwanted drivetrain movement while still allowing for an aggressive yet streetable driving experience.

Polyurethane bushings reduce subframe bushing deflection versus stock rubber bushings while keeping vibrations associated with such modification to a minimum.

Poly formulation and durometer, profile, and loaded surface area designed to minimize stress concentrations to stay within acceptable compressive strain limits of the material

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) ECS Polyurethane Subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while making ride quality more responsive, yet still streetable. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden and crack. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

E82/E9X 28mm front sway bar with urethane bushings. Sway bars are typically sold as a front and rear set to balance the handling. But a front sway bar only can also have excellent benefits, especially on a street car. Going with a larger front bar will improve steering and handling even at low-moderate speeds. Steering turn-in is faster and gives the car a more direct and responsive feel. Cars with staggered wheel fitments (a narrower front wheel compared to the rear) will especially benefit from this and help the front tire 'bite' into the road. ECS has specified a 28mm sway bar that has been fine-tuned for use on the E9X and E82 models.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

The stock rear upper control arms on your BMW are primarily designed for comfort and reliability, not for the trials experienced on the Track. This becomes apparent when deformation begins to occur to the sheet metal construction of the control arms and the rubber bushings begin to fail. To remedy this, we now offer our very own upgraded rear upper control arms with FK rod end bearings! These control arms are significantly more stout, holding up to the forces experienced on the track without flexing or bending like the stock control arms. This helps to improve overall handling and stability with only a slight increase in expected NVH.

034Motorsport is pleased to present Billet Aluminum Rear Subframe Mount Inserts for E9X BMW models! E9X BMWs use rubber rear subframe mounts which deflect under load, causing the rear end to feel vague and loose, as well as leading to less-than-optimal suspension geometry and increased understeer. These precision-machined billet aluminum inserts are designed to fill voids in the factory rear subframe mounts, and limit subframe movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any perceivable additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The result is a more refined, connected driving experience, as well as improved effectiveness of aftermarket rear sway bar upgrades and suspension components.

This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. Macht Schnell's aluminum bushing kit will breathe new life into aging 1M's and M3's, affixing the car's rear subframe and differential to the chassis. Rubber subframe bushings in the E9x M3 and E82 1M from the factory are soft, and yield under hard driving resulting in ever-changing suspension geometry and alignment specs. By limiting the movement of both the car's subframe and differential, these solid bushings will give the rear of the car a tremendously planted and confident feel.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car?

The stock Genuine BMW rear toe links (33322283549) are great for standard daily driving and occasional spirited driving, but they tend to fall flat on the track due to the soft rubber bushings causing excess deflection, creating undesirable handling characteristics, not to mention insufficient adjustability. Turner's new Performance Rear Toe Links increase stability and response by eliminating bushing deflection while providing an increased range of rear toe adjustment, necessary for lowered cars or for performance alignments. Even small changes to ride height and camber will effect toe settings, and the wide range of adjustment allows you to maximize grip on a track car and extend tire life on a street car. The factory rear toe arms utilize an eccentric bolt and washer for adjustment and lack precision and range. These toe links feature gun drilled 2024 Aluminum center links, clamps, and clevises, along with a 360-degree rotating clamp system. This combination provides superior strength, performance, durability, and ease of adjustment. No annoying jam nuts! A simple 3/16" Allen-key is all that is required to lock down your alignment settings. FK Spherical Rod Ends are utilized to reduce alignment change in the rear suspension under hard cornering, acceleration, and braking. They feature a Teflon liner to provide quiet operation, low friction, smooth articulation, and eliminate bushing deflection under load. The PTFE liner is chemically bonded to the inner diameter of the race, offering a very high load carrying capacity and greatly increased dynamic wear characteristics. Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden.
