This pressure plate offers more clamping power, and is recommended for cars making significantly more hp than stock (forced injection, etc) while using a stock flywheel. This clutch kit features a Heavy Duty pressure plate and a Performance Street Rigid clutch disc.
The heavy duty pressure plate included offers a 20-50% clamp load increase, stock-moderate pedal feel, and heat treated diaphragms for increased strength and performance.
Next in this kit is the Performance Street Rigid clutch disc. This disc is an unsprung, rigid disk that is suited for aggressive street and moderate racing applications. The disc pad features high quality organic friction material with a high copper content for improved heat transfer and a steel backed lining for increased strength in burst load circumstances. This organic clutch disc has a significantly higher torque capacity than a stock disc but due to its rigid nature, may suffer from slightly increased spline wear over time.
