Looking to get rid of the troublesome and expensive DI injectors on your BMW N54 and move to PI only and a standalone? If so VTT has you covered with its new N54 PI delete kit. This kit allows you to SAFELY remove the DI injectors, install our delete fittings, and run PI only. We machined these deletes from 310 Stainless for extreme heat, and corrosion resistance, and include 3 hold downs. These DI deletes COMPLETELY get rid of all factory provisions, including the seal. If the seal is left intact with no fuel to cool the injector or delete it will quickly overheat and melt the delicate seal causing combustion gasses to escape the engine creating misfires, and worse possibly damaging your injector bore on the cylinder head. Our deletes are machined to be a press fit into the cylinder, and can be either cooled with liquid nitrogen, and dropped in, or tapped in with a hammer, and then held down with the included hold downs. We also include M6 tapped holes on the top of each one in case they need to be removed you can attach a slide hammer, and remove the delete. These are sold as a kit and come with the following 6 – 310 Stainless DI Delete fittings 3 – Hold down brackets Completetion of this kit will require the purchase of HPFP delete plate - ES# 4623950 PLEASE NOTE: THIS KIT REQUIRES EXTENSIVE MODIFICATIONS TO CONVERT YOUR ENGINE TO PI ONLY. The particular configuration of the gears and their spatial fixturing allows an axial increase in shaft speed from the input to the output of the unit. The N54/early n55 high-pressure pump is a very capable and over-engineered piece of hardware. They do a good job supplying fuel at high pressures at stock power levels. As we start tuning and pushing more power, we start seeing drops in the high pressure. What is happening here is that the high-pressure pump is not able pump as much fuel as the injectors are injecting into the cylinders and hence causing the rail pressures to drop. The pump at this point is running out of displacement volume. With a rotary pump like the continental HPFP, an easier way to increase displacement is to spin the pump faster which results in an increased number of delivery strokes per cycle. The Helix helps you do exactly this and thus helps overcome a big limitation in N54/early N55 fuel systems without the complexity of a secondary port injection system.

This is a complete plug and play solution to replace your stock Low-Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) with a new E85 certified bucketless assembly.

This solution provides up to 25% more flow than our standard Stage 2 LPFP upgrade and up to 150% more flow than the stock pump.

This pump will support up to 550whp running 85% ethanol and 600whp running 50% ethanol.

The Stage 2 bucketless kit includes the following:

- A custom anodized billet fitting for the pump output and stock fuel line connection.
- Our custom billet aluminum anodized bracket for the pump and float assembly
- Two cotter pins to secure your float assembly
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

If you still need more flow, the Stage 3 upgrade is also available and can be added to your Stage 2 bucketless pump.

The Stage 3 upgrade kit includes:

- A complete plug and play solution by simply adding the secondary module
- Our custom billet aluminum fitting to run both pumps in parallel
- A new E85 compatible Walbro 450 pump
- Wiring harness for the secondary pump
- Spare vent tube clip
- A new Walbro filter

Recommended accessories:

NOTE: These kits include a basic filter assembly. When using this filter, running the vehicle under low fuel conditions can cause fuel starvation issues. If you do hard straight line accelerations when you have less than 1/8 tank of fuel, we would recommend running our standard Stage 2, 3, or Stage 4 pump. In addition, if you intend to use this for road course applications, you may see starvation issues when running less than a half tank and doing long high G right turns. Again for those applications we'd recommend one of our standard pump applications.

The filter unit on the continental rotary high pressure fuel pumps perform an important function of final stage filtering of fine particle impurities before it reaches the hpfp pump chamber or worse, the injectors leading to leaky injectors. The problem with them is that they are extremely tiny and restrictive and sometimes even rupture failing to filter at all. The issue becomes worse when running high-performance products like the Spool Helix overdrive system because now you have an increased flow requirement through this filter that it just cannot keep up.
