The DISA Valve adjusts the intake manifold runner length to improve performance. When it fails it can lead to a rough idle and perhaps an engine fault code light. This adjusting unit fits cars with N52 or N51 engine - not N52N models. This is the smaller of the 2 DISA Valves on this motor, it is considered the "Upper Disa valve". The crankcase oil vent system on the N52/N54 is one of its weakest and cheaply designed systems. We see crankcase vent issues on even stock engines but with more boost the problems are exponential. This Vargas upgraded PCV valve, and an oil catch can, are what the N54 engine needs and may alleviate most of your oil and boost leak issues. The PCV valve is supposed to let oil either return to the oil pan or pass through the intake manifold and get burned up in the combustion chamber. However, BMW used a weak plastic vent valve that doesn't seal well when under boost. Instead of closing and venting the oil out of the intake, it's forced through this valve and into the intake and coating your valves with oil residue and carbon. Most boost equals more oil forcing its way by. This upgraded N54 PCV valve uses higher grade materials, including aluminum, to provide a better seal and prevent oil from entering the intake. It's an easy install and a must-have item when considering any turbo work.

The OEM plastic PCV valve does not hold pressure well even when brand new. What this means is that when the turbochargers are making boost, pressurized air can become forced backwards through the valve and back into the crankcase. Depending on the condition of your PCV valve this can range from irritating to dangerous as a pressurized case can cause all sorts of issues. Additionally, if your valve cover is cracked due to age or has a bad gasket you are more than likely experiencing a pressure leak either internally or externally. These two features can cause even a low-mileage N54 to run like a tired elephant, sometimes even unlocking a special bonus function known as "Limp Mode". The solution is to replace any failed components and upgrade the PCV valve to something more capable withstanding the abuse of a turbocharged environment. FTP Motorsport has you covered with this solid aluminum valve assembly. It is essentially the same thing that came in your car from the factory, made out of aluminum. The internal components have also been made to fit tighter and outlast the life of an off the shelf replacement. This system completely does away with the restrictive, and muli-connection stock charge pipe system, and replaces it with a single 6-ply, Heat Resistant, Wire reinforced silicone charge pipe rated at over 200 psi. They are molded for the perfect fit in your engine bay, while not sacrificing anything in the way of flow or size. They also completely isolate your charge air from any additional heat soak coming in from the engine or ambient heat. Another huge benefit is only TWO connections which are barbed and has many small ridges which dig into the silicone so it’s impossible for the pipe to blow off.

This N54 pipe has a flange installed to support a Turbosmart BOV.

This is the EASIEST N54 charge pipe on the market to install hands down. Install takes about half an hour even if you are inexperienced with working on your own car, can take as little as 15-20 minutes if you have had it apart a few times.

The kit includes:

VTT Cold Side Silicone Charge pipe

2 VTT Branded CNC adapters to mount the map sensor, and a methanol bung

1 VTT Branded CNC adapters for the TB inlet

2 VTT branded T-Bolt Clamps

Vargas Turbo has you covered when you are installing a custom turbo setup. With all of the adapters you need and all the valves necessary, the only real limiting factor is your imagination!

This is the adapter fitting that is required to convert your N54 to external PCV if you want to keep your crankcase under vacuum at idle, and anytime you have a vacuum condition in your intake manifold. They are made from 6061-T6 with black anodizing for a long-lasting finish. Includes complete adapter, with all o-rings, and retaining clip.

This must be used in conjunction with the Vargas billet check valve, and PCV delete fitting or requires plugging of the intake PCV ports. Installs inline on the throttle body, and adds a -8AN male to adapt to a catch cans, or any custom set up.

Made from 6061-T6 with black anodizing for a long-lasting finish. Includes complete adapter, with all o-rings, and retaining clip
