Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver. Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings. Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

The rear subframe bushings are vital to the performance and handling of your vehicle. Transfer of load and strain in the drivetrain and rear suspension rely on the subframe to do their job effectively. If the subframe bushings are worn, the transfer of power to the ground can be greatly compromised.

The E82 and E90/E92 subframes have an inherent weakness in the rear subframe - the mounts are too soft for the power and torque these cars are capable of. The subframe is the heart of a BMW's rear suspension. As torque is transmitted through the differential and axles and as the tires grip the road, the subframe mounts are working to keeping everything in line. That's a tough task to hold when torque is increased with bigger boost (335i) or even mild tweaks (M3). While the M3 subframe mounts are a great upgrade for the non-M chassis these factory BMW Motorsport subframe mounts go one step further.

These Motorsport/Group N rear subframe bushings are a direct replacement upgrade over the stock mounts. They are rubber to conform to the rules of the Group N racing class - so they are still acceptable for street use as long as extra ride harshness can be tolerated. The rear subframe has to come down from the car for these mounts to be pressed in. So now is the perfect time to do other work as well - check out our other Motorsport Race bushings or M3 upgrades.

Price is for the set of 4 mounts.

Upgrade Your Ride with Powerflex Subframe Bushings Subframe bushings are the unsung heroes that keep your subframe snugly attached to the chassis of your ride. The stock rubber bushings that come with your car are a bit of a compromise. They aim to give you a smooth, comfy ride while still providing some decent handling. But here's where Powerflex steps in with their polyurethane subframe bushings. These babies are a bit firmer than your run-of-the-mill OEM bushings. What does that mean for you? Well, it translates to better handling, a more solid rear end (not what you're thinking), and a suspension that can flex its muscles without ruining your smooth ride. Powerflex is the go-to suspension bushing champ over in Europe. They know their stuff when it comes to polyurethane, and their high-tech manufacturing game is on point. They're all about making performance bushings that fit your ride like a glove. Plus, these are built to last longer than your typical rubber bushings while giving your BMW E9X 3 Series performance a kick in the rear (in a good way). Now, here's a pro tip for you: when you're installing these bad boys, it's a good idea to have some Powerflex Copper Grease PCG1 on hand. It'll make your life easier during the installation process. A bit of reapplication of that grease can keep those squeaks at bay and make your bushings last longer. So, what's the deal with different flavors of bushings, you ask? Well, if your ride is mainly hitting the streets with the occasional autocross or track day thrown in for fun, the Powerflex street bushings are your jam. But if you're building a track monster, then feast your eyes on the Powerflex Black Series. These beasts are 25% stiffer than the street version, ready to handle the extremes of track and race conditions. And here's the cherry on top: Powerflex stands by its products. They're so confident that they offer a lifetime warranty to the original buyer on all their gear. That's some serious peace of mind right there. So, whether you're looking to improve your ride's handling, reduce those squeaks, or amp up your track beast, Powerflex subframe bushings are the way to go. Your ride will thank you for it, and you'll be grinning behind the wheel. OE / OEM Cross Reference Numbers: 33316768645

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

While your stock bushings do a great job of insulating the cabin from a rough ride, they do little to improve road feel, and can cause slop in the suspension, allowing for unwanted movement – especially after they wear out. These SuperPro suspension bushings do a great job of locating your suspension components and helping you to feel more connected to the driving experience, while more efficiently managing the movement of your suspension. SuperPro has been manufacturing suspension components and bushings since 1983, and has always been at the forefront of polyurethane technology. SuperPro bushings are not merely polyurethane copies of your stock bushings – they are specifically developed to play to the strengths of their special blend of polyurethane and tested extensively to ensure that they are simply the highest performing components available. Due to this commitment to quality and performance, you can expect consistent quality, superior fitment, and a minimal increase in noise, vibration, & harshness (NVH).

Raises front of the rear subframe giving additional anti-squat similar to the M range. For standard subframe location use PFR5-420. Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

034Motorsport is pleased to present Billet Aluminum Rear Subframe Mount Inserts for E9X BMW models! E9X BMWs use rubber rear subframe mounts which deflect under load, causing the rear end to feel vague and loose, as well as leading to less-than-optimal suspension geometry and increased understeer. These precision-machined billet aluminum inserts are designed to fill voids in the factory rear subframe mounts, and limit subframe movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing any perceivable additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The result is a more refined, connected driving experience, as well as improved effectiveness of aftermarket rear sway bar upgrades and suspension components.

Rubber bushings found in the latest M Cars' rear camber arms are the last weak link in an otherwise rigid suspension. Fall-Line's new lower control arm bearings yield a significant improvement over the factory bushings; as motorsport parts, both strength and longevity were priorities—to do just that, Fall-Line boasts the largest FK spherical bearings on the market—by eliminating rubber from a critical feedback area of the car, you gain control over the tire’s behavior and thereby confidence behind the wheel at the limit. To adequately cope with competition-level load, Fall-Line bearings feature stainless steel spiral locks that offer 360 degrees of clamping force to secure the bearing from any potential movement.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

These bushings replace the stock rubber bushings and offer a better driving feel, increased lifespan, and better wheel alignment.

Rubber bushing allow for a lot more movement and are more susceptible to wear and tear from spirited driving and harsh weather conditions. Polyurethane is much more resistant to wear and is stiffer, reducing the total amount of movement that would normally affect the alignment negatively.
