If you're tracking your BMW you should absolutely have stickier rubber on wider wheels. Most BMWs have a staggered wheel set with a narrow front wheel that results in understeer. Adding a wider wheel will get you more rubber where it counts - reducing understeer and improving initial turn-in. Square wheel sets of the same size and offset also allow you to rotate tires around to get the most life out of pricey track tires. We have put this wheel set together using four APEX 9.5" wheels in a ET22 offset. A 9.5" wheel allows for 265-285 performance or R-comp tires.

This is a very aggressive offset and custom alignment settings will be required. Trimming of plastic fender liners or fender rolling may also be required depending on tire size/type and ride height.
