The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus Kit includes two front struts and two rear shocks. These shocks are for use with lowered springs such as from H&R or Eibach. We do not recommend that you use them with any factory spring, including factory sport package springs. With the increased damping rates from stock you will have much more control over body motions. These will give a much more buttoned down and taut feeling with lowering springs compared to stock shocks.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Bilstein has teamed up with Eibach to offer matched shock and spring packages. These Eibach springs are mated to a special set of Bilstein shocks to deliver a sporty and taut ride with as little impact on ride comfort as possible.

The Pro Kit uses an Eibach Pro Kit spring with Bilstein's Sport shocks and struts. Instead of taking parts from different manufacturers, Bilstein has tested the performance of the Eibach spring and tailored their shocks to be a true match for the new spring rate and ride height. This is known as a matched shock and spring and very few tuning companies take these extra steps. Eibach springs tend to be softer overall than most other aftermarket springs, which ensures the ride stays close to a stock comfort while still giving you a lowered stance and improved handling.

Most cars don't need coil overs to improve their handling and bodyroll. For most drivers, simply replacing the shocks and springs with performance versions will meet their goals. Sway bar end links connect the swaybar to the rest of the suspension, preventing body roll and keeping everything in line in tight turns. The guide rod helps to locate the rear suspension to the subframe and controls changes in the alignment as the suspension moves. If your ///M is clunking or feels sloppy over bumps, front end links are a good place to start. Refreshing your front end links will help bring your vehicle back to stock performance spec. Turner Motorsport recommends replacing both left and right front end links - if one is worn or broken, it is likely that the other side is not very far behind.
