The crank pulley is CNC-machined from billet 6061 aluminum and finished with a hard-coat anodize for durability under sustained high-RPM operation. Unlike undersized pulleys that compromise system function, this design maintains proper operating characteristics while delivering real-world gains. Late-2007 production E9X M3 models transitioned to a double-sided (DPK) A/C belt configuration. Rather than forcing a workaround, Active Autowerke developed a proper DPK-compatible solution — including the correct matched belt. Applicable kits also include a spare DPK belt for added insurance.
