We recommend replacing hardware when doing your starter, since the bolts are aluminum and threads become stretched: Genuine BMW aluminum starter hardware set 12410392577
Used on a wide variety of models with the BMW N52, N54, and N55 engines, including: E9X, F01/02, F07/10, E8X, E70, E60/61, F25, F30, and Z4.
Turner recommends replacing these bolts when replacing your starter as these bolts are aluminum and torque to yield - making them one time use bolts.
