The factory magnesium valve covers on the S65 engine are known for developing micro-porosity, corrosion, and persistent oil leaks over time. This material is highly susceptible to oxidation, leading to unsightly surface imperfections, weakened gasket channels, and sealing issues that a simple gasket replacement won't fix.
Upgrade to this high-strength aluminum valve cover set, engineered as a direct-fit replacement for your aging OEM covers. Unlike magnesium, aircraft-grade aluminum offers superior durability, enhanced heat resistance, and complete immunity to the corrosion issues that plague factory covers. Whether you're refreshing a high-mileage M3 or seeking long-term reliability, this upgrade ensures a leak-free, worry-free solution for your S65.
Features:
Eliminates the common porosity and corrosion issues found in factory magnesium covers.
Helps maintain optimal engine temperatures and enhances long-term reliability.
Designed for an OEM-like installation without modifications.
Reduces the risk of oil leaks, ensuring a proper seal.
Resistant to oxidation and chemical exposure for a long-lasting clean look.
Replaces OEM Part Numbers: 11127848153 & 11127848154

For BMW M54 applications, coil styles vary between M or N depending on the vehicle's production date. Models produced up to September 2002 require the M series style coil, while those manufactured after September 2002 use N series style coils. It's crucial to visually compare and verify the correct coil needed for your vehicle before making a purchase.

High oil temps are one of the triggers that causes the engine electronics to curtail boost, cut power, and possibly switch to limp mode. The stock oil system was not designed with enough cushion for running more boost. We have seen limp modes come from stock vehicles on the race track. To prevent limp modes and reduced performance, Dinan has developed this oil cooler kit with much more surface area than stock.
The Dinan oil cooler kit fits in the stock location behind the front spoiler on the passenger side of the car. This is an ideal location to maximize the ram air effect from the front bumper. New air ducts and vents into the wheel well help improve air flow. PTFE hoses with race-quality fittings and all hardware are included for install. Some Dinan oil cooler kits can even be used to upgrade cars that never came with an oil cooler. Once you see the Dinan oil cooler side-by-side with the factory cooler, you will understand why it's so much better. The Dinan cooler is bigger in every way - larger capacity, greater surface area, and more cooling tubes.
| Stock | Dinan | |
| Total Oil Volume | 9.5oz | 19oz |
| Surface Area | 45sq/in | 67.5sq/in |
| # Cooling Tubes | 10 | 23 |
| Tube Length | 90 in. | 207 in |
| Tube Area | 112.5sq/in | 414 sq/in |
For over 35 years, Dinan has been America's premier tuning company, pioneering advancements in BMW modification while retaining a focus on balanced performance that preserves the original character and driving feel that a BMW offers. Dinan believes so fully in their “total package” approach that once your car has been fitted with enough of their parts, they celebrate your conversion from stock to Dinan with an exclusive trunk badge, displayed proudly by BMW enthusiasts everywhere. The oil cooler kit is worth 3 points towards your Dinan badge.
