Keep your driving machine in top shape with regular maintenance. BMW's service interval for an oil change varies based on driving habits. We recommend changing your oil after no more than 10,000 miles. A 5,000 oil service interval is preferred for aggressive or city driving.

Every 60-80,000 miles, we recommend replacing your spark plugs to ensure your ignition system is running optimally. Over time carbon can build up around the head of the spark plug and decrease spark strength and effectiveness, leading to weaker fuel mixture detonation, misfires, and potential check engine lights. To prevent this, have put together our High-Performance Ignition Service Kits. These kits include new Bav Auto High-Performance Ignition Coils, new spark plugs, dielectric grease, and a BMW spark plug service label to keep track of when your spark plugs were replaced.

Bav Auto's Ignition coils feature core windings that have been modified to increase firepower and promote a faster, more efficient burn. This gives your BMW/MINI increased torque in the lower range of RPM and more horsepower in the upper range. Exact improvements depend on the current condition of your engine, but you'll definitely feel the difference. They'll also improve your fuel economy.

Automatic transmissions are reliable, shift smoothly, and can last without issue so long as they are properly maintained. Over time, the transmission fluid becomes thick and the filter becomes contaminated with small metal particles. This can cause excess wear, high transmission operating temperatures, and eventual failure. To prevent this we recommend changing your filter, fluid, and seals to ensure your transmission continues to operate flawlessly. We recommend filter and fluid changes every 50,000 miles.

If your engine has higher mileage, don't neglect rod bearing replacement! These bearings are sandwiched between the connecting rod and crankshaft journal and are prone to failure due to overheating, lack of lubrication, or general wear. Replace your rod bearings and prevent a spun bearing.
