Keeping the oil inside your engine is extremely important to performance. Between oil change intervals, your oil can dip to dangerous levels if there is a leak you are not aware of. The valve cover is an extremely common place for leaks to begin. Years of exposure to extreme temperature change degrades the gasket and can cause failure. This gasket will keep oil where it is supposed to be, inside your engine, not on your driveway. Lifters and rockers will stay properly lubricated and your vehicle will not have that hot oil smell.
