The inner baffle orientation can be easily adjusted to flow in both directions in case you decide to move this catch can to a different vehicle. A 4 chamber system baffle system inside the catch can was engineered to create multiple changes in the direction of airflow within the separator to cause oil droplets to fall out of suspension before exiting the catch can. Having a closed / recirculated design reduces oil ingestion and promotes cleaner emissions and odor-less operation.
Our catch can was also designed with the idea that the cans fill level can easily be checked with a top mounted dipstick and an optional use bottom drain hole. The drain system comes complete with a valve and hose to be mounted at a lower area of the vehicle so when you're doing an oil change you can drain the catch can.

Designed with performance and load capacity in mind, King's SV Series bearings feature a Lead-free, tri-metal Silver-based overlay with a Babbitt plating made to provide seizure resistance. Ideal for extreme-load engines, it serves as an OE replacement and can be employed as a sputter replacement. Despite offering great wear and friction resistance, the engineers at Turner Motorsport saw an opportunity to further improve King's bearing design with WPC surface treatment. WPC reduces friction and adds strength, vastly enhancing the durability of critical internal engine components. Ultra-fine particles are fired at the surface at very high speeds—similar to shot-peening, but on a much smaller scale. The treated parts come out smoother and stronger due to thermal discharge. The two greatest enemies of any high-performance engine are heat and friction, and WPC technology effectively reduces both.

If there is a large amount of oil on the sides of the engine or if you can smell burning oil, chances are it's a bad valve cover gasket. The gasket fails and allows oil to seep down onto the side of the engine and other parts causing a mess and reducing the amount of oil in your engine. This is the OEM Bosch ignition coil that is the current replacement for most BMW 6 and 8-cylinder engines built since 2003. It's listed as a replacement coil for M54, M56, S54, N52, N54, N62, N63, N73, S63, S63TU and other engines. BMW has made numerous changes to ignition coil part numbers in recent years but has approved this part number to work in the vehicles listed in our fitments tab. This part number replaces previous BMW part numbers 12130390064, 12130148594, 12131712219, and 12137551260.
Ignition coils are key to the efficiency and performance of your BMW. With a faulty coil the spark plug is not burning the air/fuel mixture properly and that can lead to problems anywhere in the engine and exhaust (including catalytic converters and O2 sensors). Problems with one or more coils will cause a fault code but not always a check engine light. A misfire code may be related to an ignition coil but could be from other things as well. Sometimes a visual inspection of a coil and coil boot will give an indication of a failure. You can also move coils around to different cylinder banks to see if the misfire code follows a suspect coil. We suggest always having one or two coils on hand to keep as spares.
This Bosch part also satisfies BMW's service bulletin for 2001-2003 E46 M3 ignition coils (SIB 12 24 05). That SIB calls for Bremi or ERA brand coils but BMW has replaced them with this Bosch design.

The VAC Motorsports Crank Seal Guard, made of 6061 Billet Aluminum, prevents your serpentine belt from being pulled into your engine, a common problem amongst BMW N54, N55, and S55 Engines. Without a crank seal guard, the serpentine belt on N54, N55, and S55 engines is commonly sucked into the crank hub area past the crank seal, where it enters your engine and disrupts engine timing. This is an OEM INA Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The idler pulleys are known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).
