The ZF 8-speed automatic transmission (8HP) has become the go-to choice for performance enthusiasts, delivering lightning-fast shifts, impressive torque handling, and ample tuning potential. However, the stock transmission pan falls short in critical areas. Its plastic construction, integrated non-replaceable filter, and limited fluid volume leave little margin for error in demanding conditions.

Installation:

Vehicle plastic belly pans may vary. Because the Turner 8HP transmission pan is taller to allow for increased fluid capacity, some vehicles may require trimming of the plastic belly pan, or the belly pan may need to be installed over the transmission pan where it may make contact.

• Wheel studs are among the safest and most beneficial upgrades you can make on a track car. Not only are wheel studs safer than wheel bolts but they make changing wheels/tires much easier. One of the frustrating things about installing your wheels on the hub is that it's difficult to line up the wheel on the bolt holes. As wheels get larger but also heavier it's even more trouble. Add in a wheel spacer and the task is twice as hard. BMW does produce a wheel alignment pin for this purpose but if you're changing wheels often a stud conversion is the better way to go.
  
  Our original bullet nose studs are available in 60mm, 75mm, 82mm, or 90mm. The 75mm works great for cars that do not use a spacer (or a spacer smaller than 10mm). We recommend the 90mm length for cars that have spacers up to 20mm. The 82mm length is a happy medium between the 75mm and the 90mm. These studs come with a OEM-style black zinc coating for excellent corrosion resistance. These studs are perfect for dual-purpose street/track cars. The studs are stronger and safer than wheel bolts with protection against corrosion which makes them suitable for street use. For a dedicated race or track car, where wheel changes or pit stops are more frequent, check out our racing dry lube studs.
  
  Our studs are also designed and manufactured with the properly sized shank to work with a wider range of BMW wheel, nut, and brake rotor combinations. We intentionally avoid the extra large shoulders you see on other studs because they can interfere with some brake rotor hats. The extra large shoulder can be too large to allow the rotor to pass through and drilling out the holes is required (not cool!) Our studs have the sufficient shank for the brake rotor without interfering.
  
  Not all wheel studs are created equal. We don't take a manufacturer's generic wheel stud from their catalog and call it our own. Turner Wheel Studs are manufactured to meet our own specifications. Beware of cheaper studs on the market! We have seen other studs similar to our own designs that are not a true BMW fitment. There are differences that we have ironed out over our years of selling wheel studs for the BMW market. Our stud prices may be slightly higher than the rock bottom prices on the web but we promise that it's a higher quality.

By popular demand, our shoe-gripping Turner Motorsport pedal set is now available for automatic transmission. These pedal covers feature pyramid shaped spikes on the brake pedal, which actually BITE the soles of your shoes PERFECTLY, creating the ultimate (and unbeatable) friction surface where you want it. The throttle pedal is left smooth, so that your foot can roll on and off the gas smoothly. The automatic transmission set includes 2 pieces -- one brake pedal and one throttle/gas pedal.

Our pedals are anodized for a beautiful cosmetic finish that resists chips and flaking. Stainless steel hardware is included, as well as a basic installation guide (professional installation always recommended). These pedals are for left-hand drive (LHD), automatic transmission BMWs only (sequential manual transmission cars should use the manual transmission set).

Although these come pre-gapped we highly recommend double checking the plug gap upon receiving them and adjusting to your vehicle's individual needs.
For the N55/S55, these plugs are 2 Steps Colder, while for the N54 they are 3 Steps Colder.

Note that BMW Spark plugs require a special 12 point 14mm thin walled socket. We have several options available in our catalog that will help you get your spark plugs changed. The BMW part number for the tool is 83300495560, but we recommend the Schwaben brand T#373727 that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

When it comes time to change your spark plugs, you may wonder about colder stepped spark plugs as many others have. Colder spark plugs work by pulling more heat out of the engine's cylinders (making them "colder") and dissipating it into the engine's head, which is then cooled by the cooling system. Depending on how you have your engine built, these could be a great addition! Colder plugs can help prevent engine knock and prevent the tip of the spark plug from melting or misfiring.

There are two rules that most people tend to go by when deciding on which spark plugs to buy:

The first rule of thumb is that with every 100 horsepower added, you should run spark plugs that are a step colder than your stock plugs. This is generally accepted across the motorsports community but unfortunately isn't always the most accurate measurement of when you will need colder plugs.
The second rule is to go a step colder any time you massively alter cylinder temperatures by adding forced induction to an NA engine, by increasing compression ratio, after altering timing in a major way, or by changing fuel types to something with a higher octane rating such as racing fuel.
Adding spark plugs that are a step colder outside of these conditions, with no real change to the engine, can actually hurt more than help by leading to spark plugs fouling quicker than normal and by making the car harder to start in cold weather conditions.
