The oxygen sensor is part of your BMW's emissions control system and feeds data to BMW engine management computer. The oxygen sensor is positioned in the exhaust pipe and can detect rich and lean mixtures. The goal of the oxygen sensor is to help the engine run as efficiently as possible and also to produce as few emissions as possible. The Dinan center pipe replaces the resonator in the M235i exhaust. By deleting resonators you can gain a little more volume from the exhaust. This is especially good if you're a fan of the stock exhaust sound and just want to hear more of it. And with less restriction there is a slight horsepower and torque gain as well! This pipe fits best with the Dinan Free Flow rear muffler but will fit on the stock exhaust too.
