The Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Catless Downpipes is constructed from 304 stainless steel, featuring mandrel bent piping.  These are 100% TIG welded by in house fabricators and built in the USA! 

The factory turbocharger turbine housing utilizes a V-Band flange which has been duplicated and CNC machined cut out of billet 304 stainless steel. Stainless Steel CNC machined O2 sensor and laser cut brackets are TIG welded using stainless steel rods. The O2 sensor remains positioned at the factory location. Also, since Evolution Racewerks uses a larger 4.5" pipe right after the turbocharger, turbo backpressure is significantly reduced, resulting in less exhaust turbulence and backpressure which again improves throttle response and decreasing turbo lag.

The Dinan sport muffler is designed to compliment the 340i and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Dinan engineers their exhausts to sound great and be a natural fit to the character of the car as well as produce more power and torque. Dual 3.5" stainless tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. Dinan uses only 304 stainless steel in their systems for the maximum corrosion protection. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. The factory 335i exhaust system is pretty wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converter. The factory cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint's downpipe incorporates a high-flow HJS 200-cell metallic cat that flows considerably more than the stock ceramic part. It also uses bigger 80mm piping to minimize restrictions.

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.
