To construct a TTE400 N20, the folks at TTE change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet 6+6 wheel and mill the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. Notice how they CNC mill the cover to have a smooth transition to the intake inlet, no big step to hinder airflow as you see on the competition's offerings. They replace the original exhaust turbine and CNC mill the turbine housing to install a larger 9 blade turbine for greater gas flow and lower backpressure.

TTE580 is the very latest hybrid performance upgrade turbocharger based on the Original turbocharger for the BMW B58 inline-six-cylinder turbocharged engine. Engineered & Enhanced To construct a TTE580 The Turbo Engineers change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet wheel with extended tip technology and mill the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. The Turbo Engineers change the Original exhaust turbine for a larger 9-blade high-flow item to lower EGT and raise the power potential but maintain a great boost response profile. Equilibrium Precisely balancing the turbochargers is a key critical factor to becoming a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequently, great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving balance standards. Firstly, parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using a single parts machine, then components are assembled and the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using an in-house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Still keeping the original turbocharger the compressor wheel is exchanged for a TTE milled aluminum wheel with state-of-the-art geometry, 7+7 blade so producing extra power.
