This kit builds on the success and knowledge of the previous turbo projects we have made and incorporates new technology to optimize performance and maintain factory fitment. Our engineers utilized transient flow analysis and flow bench testing to optimize the twin-scroll turbine housing while maintaining stock fitment, stock location, and stock wastegates. This allows for the use of any stock fitment downpipes, intakes, and charge pipes. The result is an impressive 808whp on a built engine with supporting mods. You can simply transfer your factory wastegates, high-performance downpipes, intake, and charge pipes during the installation. No custom parts are needed and all factory installation hardware and gaskets are used! The kit features complete brand-new turbochargers and large inlet pipes. No need for cores to be sent in or purchased. Each turbocharger is VSR balanced to exceed OE tolerances with upgraded heavy-duty bearings and thrust washers. We supply reinforced silicone inlets, that are compatible with any intake system. These inlets will not collapse or deform under vacuum. Our turbochargers are designed to move a lot of air at lower boost levels, which means you can make some serious power without over-speeding the turbos, which means reliable performance. Optimal boost levels are 24-25psi with approximately 85-88% WGDC. This must be confirmed by your tuner and adjusted, depending on your build. BMW has a knack for maintaining its stake as the benchmark when it comes to performance luxury vehicles, with the F8X generation being no exception. The S55 that powers the 2015–2020 BMW F8X M3, M4, and M2 Competition is dripping with technology, which includes an air-to-water intercooling system as a means of keeping cool. Where BMW’s intercooling system design was enough to help bring this generation of mid-sized M’s to their peak, we here at Mishimoto found some weaknesses that we felt obliged to address, with a power bundle consisting of our full Performance Intercooler Product suite. The Mishimoto 2015–2020 BMW F8X M3/M4 Performance Intercooler Power Pack counters the weaknesses in BMW’s design, starting with the charge pipes. Cracking under pressure or splitting at the seams are common problems with factory plastic charge pipes. These can result in less than ideal situations as you pilot your M3 or M4. We created a brand-new design for the charge pipes that inspire more confidence in handling the boost pressure. Our design features a full aluminum construction with a cast midsection designed specifically to squeeze past the intake. Our charge pipe kit also includes a pair of matte black silicone couplers for a sleek and secure connection to the intercooler. The nondescript silver box is out, and the stylish new Mishimoto Performance Air-to-Water Intercooler is in. With a new look, our design fits perfectly in the M3 and M4’s engine bay, both in terms of installation and aesthetics. The beauty is more than just skin deep. Our improved core design features a bar-and-plate core with a 29% increase in core volume, as well as a unique single-pass coolant flow layout for optimal heat transfer. Combined with our 16% increase in flow through the core, we were able to record a 12°F temperature drop in intake air temperatures while testing our full Power Pack. An air-to-water intercooling system wouldn’t be complete without the heat exchanger. When it came to BMW’s design, it was a solid foundation, but we still saw room to grow, literally. Our full aluminum design added 6” to the height of the core, equating in a 180% increase in external fin surface area and a 60% increase in core volume. With our heat exchanger in the S55’s system, we recorded a 10°F drop in global intercooler coolant temperatures and an average gain of 11 whp and 8 wtq when the full Mishimoto 2015–2020 BMW F8X Performance Intercooler Power Pack was tested on our Stage 1 tuned M3. For added security, we made sure to include our optional steel mesh stone guard with the Mishimoto Performance Heat exchanger to keep all the tubes and fins intact. We also utilized a variable fin pitch on our heat exchanger’s core for optimal cooling on DCT-equipped vehicles. Even though the F8X generation of the M3, M4, and M2 Competition was designed to pull ahead of the rest, there's still much to be desired when it comes to cooling. Under certain conditions, the N55 crank hub likes to spin, without warning and even when the engine is in perfect health. The engineers at Vargas saw and dealt with this problem time and again, and they saw fit to do something about it. This hub uses a proprietary "Spline Lock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines which press into the crank, and positively lock the hub to the crank. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). This is a replacement Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor Located on the charge air cooler. The MAP controls the amount of fuel that goes through the injectors based on the pressure of air at the intake manifold. If your vehicle is giving you a MAP code, replace it immediately to ensure you get the best gas mileage and performance. If you are running E85 or ethanol mixes in your BMW, you need this kit! This is a complete plug and play kit to install a Bluetooth ethanol sensor in your S55 BMW. This kit replaces the stock fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine bay with an upgraded -6an E85 compatible fuel line and adds an ethanol sensor and Bluetooth analyzer to monitor your ethanol content. Includes both Bluetooth App & 5v analog output for JB4 or flash tuning. For your fuel line upgrade, choose the option that supports your current configuration. HPFP to the fuel tank: (Stock) This upgrade replaces both stock fuel lines with one upgraded continuous fuel line from the fuel tank to the HPFP and adds the ethanol sensor. Port Injection to the fuel tank: If you are running our port injection kit, this upgrade replaces the stock fuel lines from the tank to the engine bay, integrates the ethanol sensor and then utilizes a Y adapter to supply the HPFP and PI with fuel. Our custom fittings remove those tee's and extra fittings for a cleaner high flow setup. Non-Fuel-It! port injection to fuel tank: Choose this option if you are running a port injection kit that we did not manufacture or sell. If you are running E85 or ethanol mixes in your BMW, you need this kit! This is a complete plug and play kit to install a Bluetooth ethanol sensor in your S55 BMW. This kit replaces the stock fuel lines from the fuel tank to the engine bay with an upgraded -6an E85 compatible fuel line and adds an ethanol sensor and Bluetooth analyzer to monitor your ethanol content. Includes both Bluetooth App & 5v analog output for JB4 or flash tuning. For your fuel line upgrade, choose the option that supports your current configuration. HPFP to the fuel tank: (Stock) This upgrade replaces both stock fuel lines with one upgraded continuous fuel line from the fuel tank to the HPFP and adds the ethanol sensor. Port Injection to the fuel tank: If you are running our port injection kit, this upgrade replaces the stock fuel lines from the tank to the engine bay, integrates the ethanol sensor and then utilizes a Y adapter to supply the HPFP and PI with fuel. Our custom fittings remove those tee's and extra fittings for a cleaner high flow setup. Non-Fuel-It! port injection to fuel tank: Choose this option if you are running a port injection kit that we did not manufacture or sell. This kit includes a longer 18" feedline from the Y to the port injection rail. You then cut the feed line to the length you need and install the included -6an female fitting or -6an female elbow to make the connection to your port injection rail. All of these kits utilize the BMS custom billet aluminum fittings to integrate with the stock fittings so no modifications are needed. *For the BMW F-series JB4 platform connect the white wire to position #16 on the JB4 25 pin harness. Select WMI Ethanol Setup option 1 to enable pin location 15/16 flex fuel input. *These kits are available for off-road use only *Ethanol Sensors don't actually read the ethanol content, the readings are based on the absence of gasoline, so if your fuel is contaminated your ethanol readings may be artificially elevated.
