With the M5/M6's twin-turbo V8 so quiet (even when piped through the speakers) every lit bit of volume is an improvement. If you're looking for a bit more volume from your 235i exhaust, this piece will delete the factory resonator ahead of the muffler. The Supersprint rear muffler fits to the stock center exhaust and produces a sportier, slightly more aggressive exhaust note than the stock exhaust. With the stock muffler, the engine noise is dampened a lot. But if you're an enthusiast who wants to accent the 7-series with more sport then this muffler is the perfect touch. The factory 335i exhaust system is pretty wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converter. The factory cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint's downpipe incorporates a high-flow HJS 200-cell metallic cat that flows considerably more than the stock ceramic part. It also uses bigger 80mm piping to minimize restrictions.

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Supersprint's rear mufflers for the 335i and 335xi produce a pleasing but not intrusive exhaust sound. This set of mufflers are considered their 'street' system with only a modest increase in volume to give a hint of added performance without being obnoxious or annoying. The rear of the 335i and M3 have a very distinctive appearance thanks to their dual exhaust outlets. But the 328i models were equipped with the traditional and plain left rear outlet. With this Supersprint dual exhaust upgrade your 328i or 328xi can also benefit from this muscular and athletic exhaust look. The US E92 328i exhaust is unique to the US market and that has left a void for performance exhaust options. The European exhaust has different components and layout but the Supersprint Euro exhaust can be fitted to US cars. It consists of a stainless performance muffler and stainless center resonator that is clamped to the stock E92 secondary cat (or remove the cat with the Supersprint section 1 straight pipes). This makes for an excellent replacement exhaust system because the sound is sporty but refined and not too loud. It's a muted growl and throaty sound without being overly aggressive.

Fitment Notes: This system adds an additional pair of tips to the passenger side of the vehicle. Minor trimming of the rear bumper required to match the driver's side is required. Because this system uses parts that are not normally installed on the US exhaust some additional installation and fitment work is required. But the Euro and US cars share all of the same attachment points and hangers and this is the correct system for the Euro 330 coupe (called a 328 in the US market). Our kit includes the Euro installation hardware and gasket.

These headers are handcrafted in Italy by Supersprint and are beautiful as well as functional. The stock M5/M6 header system is pretty good as far as BMW systems go... but Supersprint has improved on the design with mandrel-bent tubing (not crushed tubing like the stock system), full stainless-steel construction, and a bolt-on installation (the engine does not require removal). Each tube is mounted to the exhaust ports with the correct-sized flanges. The tubes are as close to equal length as possible and merge together in Supersprint's precision collector.
Dyno Chart
These headers can then be bolted to the rest of the factory exhaust or installed with Supersprint high-flow catalytic converters. Dyno testing has shown repeated gains of over 60hp with the complete system. You can choose to buy only the Supersprint headers to bolt to the stock secondary cats or high-flow Supersprint secondary cats are an option.
Removal of the factory headers and installation of the Supersprint headers can be done with the engine in the car - the engine does not need to be removed at any time. Also, there is no cutting, welding, or fabricating required. Thesewill bolt to existing flanges or piping. However, because the process involves the removal of several critical systems and components to gain access to the engine (the external oil pumps of the dry-sump oiling system, for instance) theinstallation of these headers should only be done by a shop familiar with installations of intricate header systems.
Because of the time that Supersprint's engineers dedicate to building these headers, they will be in very short supply, ensuring its exclusivity as the finest aftermarket headers available for the M5/M6 in the world.

Changing the exhaust note can be one of the most pleasing upgrades you can make. The stock mufflers do exactly what BMW intended them to - muffle and dampen the exhaust to meet 'luxury' levels. But if you want to hear more of that great BMW engine changing out the rear mufflers with this Supersprint sport exhaust will come through. The Supersprint Race mufflers are a freer-flowing version of the standard Sport mufflers for the F10 M5. Where the Sport mufflers make an aggressive but muted growl, the Race mufflers let you know they're there. The Race system is an excellent alternative to running a muffler-delete modification as the throaty burble of the V8 comes through but without the added volume of running without mufflers. These are still straight-through, minimalist muffler designs so some additional noise and drone is to be expected.

The Supersprint performance mufflers will add a little more sizzle and punch to the sound of your F10 M5. These are a stainless free-flowing muffler set that slips on in place of the factory mufflers. They have been tuned by Supersprint to add a bit more sporty and ripping sound, especially at idle, by opening up the passageways in the mufflers and doing away with the vacuum operated flapper valves.
