BMW Suspension Parts

MINI F56 Dinan Coilover System offers the MINI driver unparalleled versatility for achieving optimal performance in any situation. This adjustable coil-over suspension system allows for customization, enabling configurations that range from factory-like comfort to maximum performance, or a combination of both. Whether used for daily driving or track performance, the improved suspension provides exceptional traction, enhancing confidence at higher speeds.

The Dinan Coil-Over System for F55/F56/F57 MINI models is engineered to deliver outstanding handling performance. It includes performance-tuned linear rate springs, adjustable front strut assemblies, and rear shocks with integrated bumpstops for reliable behavior. Key benefits include:

• Adjustable Ride Height: Up to 1.7" lower in front and 1.1" in the rear, with a recommended 0.75" (20mm) drop to maintain ride quality.
• Enhanced Handling: 93% stiffer front springs (336 lbs/in vs. 174 lbs/in) and 58% stiffer rear springs (336 lbs/in vs. 213 lbs/in) improve grip and reduce body roll.
• Customizable Comfort: 32 levels of rebound damping adjustment and threaded collars for precise height adjustments.
• Durable Construction: Corrosion-resistant materials and finishes for long-lasting performance.
• Improved Performance: Substantial reduction in body roll and increased handling capabilities.

Note: Not compatible with cars equipped with EDC/DDC.

The B16 PSS10 coilovers offer a stiffer spring rate than stock and a lower ride height for less bodyroll and better handling. These are among the easiest coil over kits on the market - no special mounts required (works with stock mounts and sway bar links), larger adjustment knob allows for easy shock damping changes, and coil over spanner wrenches included for easy height changes. Bilstein backs up their technology with a limited lifetime warranty. TUV approved for fitment, safety, and quality!

Bilstein's monotube shock dampers in the PSS10 offer 10 precise settings for compression and rebound. A new setting is just a click away, allowing you to set a ride and handling combination that works for your setting. Instead of offering too many shock settings that you're never going to use, Bilstein has chosen ten optimal damping curves from a smooth street setting (P10) to an ultra-stiff track-only setup (P1). Shock changes are made from an easy-to-use over-sized adjuster knob.

Ride height adjustments are done from perches that ride on each shock body, which are zinc coated for excellent wear and corrosion resistance. You can set the ride height between 0.5 to 1.3 inches lower than stock ride height. Springs are progressively rated so their initial compression rating is quite soft and then becomes stiffer as the spring compresses. These are stiffer than most coil over kit manufacturers and the results of Bilstein's extensive testing on the German Nurgburgring and Autobahn.

The fitment of these is just like a standard shock and spring package. The front struts and rear shocks are compatible with the stock strut and shock mounts. You can re-use your own or choose a mount with additional features. Because the Bilstein design keeps the sway bar tab in the original location, you can re-use the stock sway bar links. Using the stock mounts keeps the cost and complexity down and allows for TUV certification. You can also be assured of the stock mount's quiet and long-lasting performance. The assembly of the front strut is the same as a the factory strut. In the rear, ride height is made by an adjustable spring perch that sits under the rear spring. Install instructions and diagrams included.

If you're looking for a supremely capable and high quality suspension, then look no further than the Bilstein PSS10. It combines all of the best German engineering with real-world development, and a lifetime warranty.

Fitment note: this system works only on cars not equipped with the factory EDC electronically adjustable shocks.

Featuring:

• Largest available piston diameter for greater sensitivity and precise control.
• Patented digressive piston head design and deflective valving instantly reacts to changing road conditions.
• 10-way adjustable dampening knobs that "click" from soft to hard with no tools or jacking required.
• Monotube design dissipates heat more effectively than a twin tube shock for cooler, more efficient operation and longer life.
• Weather resistant coating to resist oxidization, and ensure long life.
• Lighter weight reduces wear and tear on suspension components.
• Wrenches to adjust front and rear ride height included!

Installing a Dinan part means not only benefiting from carefully developed and tested components but also enjoying a four-year, 50,000-mile warranty. A strut tower brace adds additional reinforcement to the front strut towers, tying them together for extra rigidity. This makes the whole structure stronger with less chassis flex. Handling and steering feel are improved with better turn-in and input with no downsides. The Dinan strut tower brace is a very high quality aluminum brace with precision machined ends that match the contours of the strut tower. Other braces simply sit on top which reduces their effectiveness. This is definitely one of the stronger strut brace designs on the market. The center bar is polished aluminum with carbon fiber inlays - an unmistakable sign of precise engineering when you open the hood.

Dinan uses the factory sway bar with this new bracket and a 21mm rear sway bar to balance the M5/M6 handling. Instead of the traditional larger sway bar Dinan has come up with this way of stiffening the stock bar. This has a number of advantages over a thicker aftermarket bar: lower cost, the bar does not have to be removed, no tradeoff in ride comfort.

Dinan Performance Springs are matched to your BMW's chassis and suspension components to deliver better handling and looks without sacrificing ride quality. Dinan BMW springs are carefully engineered to work within your car's suspension travel and to improve suspension geometry. Spring rates are slightly stiffer than stock and dialed in to reduce bodyroll. A stiffer suspension makes the car more fun to drive and the lower ride height improves the looks by reducing wheel-fender gap.

Dinan spring specs -

• F: -5/8" (16mm)

• R: -1/4" (6mm)

Fitment note: Dinan only recommends these springs be used with their custom-valved Koni shocks. While not explicitly required, less than favorable ride quality and handling may result without them.
