For the driver that demands the best out of their vehicle. The Dinan Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension was bred in the race lab but refined on the street for maximum versatility. No matter the environment, the traction that is awarded to the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire newfound confidence when running at higher speeds. From the substantial reduction in body roll as well as reduction of dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan guarantees you superior handling, performance, and comfort.

Dinan's design retains the superb factory electronic shocks but swaps the springs to a more aggressive, performance enhancing formula and implements threaded collars that allow the user to change the ride height themselves. While shorter, stiffer springs are commonplace in aftermarket suspensions and are a key element in reduction of body roll it is not a one size fits all approach. In the case of the G87 M2 where the vehicle has a penchant for oversteer, stiffening the rear springs would exacerbate the problem of the rear losing traction before the front when the platform is pushed to the limit. Dinan instead has opted to soften the rear spring rate as well as switch from the factory progressive rate rear to a dual rate spring setup. The combination increases predictability and compliancy, and in turn, provides better rear grip/road holding for a vehicle that needs both. The result is a sleek lowered stance that provides improved handling to go along with its stunning visual appearance. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allow the car to be lowered up to 1-1/8" in the front and over 2" inches in the rear. However, to retain the ride quality synonymous with Dinan suspension kits the recommended drop of 3/4" in front and rear is advised. For suspension connoisseurs, or those that are just simply very particular, suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops --- something no respectable race car is without.

Contrary to the market norm, the Dinan G87 M2 kit is not a direct carryover from the G8x M3/M4 but a package independently developed to eke the most out of the M2 and the nuances that differ it from its larger siblings. The rear spring rates in particular on the smaller coupe are far more aggressive than those on the M3/M4 from the factory. This produces a stiffer, more uncomfortable ride than most are fond of beyond the racetrack. While utilizing the same rear springs as the Dinan M3/M4 kit is possible the rates would be substantially softer resulting in reduced stability in cornering and an increase in body roll. Instead, Dinan M2 rear springs are 13% softer than factory but still 10% stiffer than what the M3/M4 kit would offer so a more compliant and comfortable ride can be achieved while also retaining its sporty character and abilities.

NOTE: Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Safety will be compromised if all precautions are not taken. Dinan is not responsible for any property damage or injury.

Features:

• Up to 1-1/8" of lowering in front and over 2" of lowering in back are possible depending on tire clearance but with diminished ride quality
• Dinan recommends a 3/4" drop in front and rear to maintain a civilized ride
• Up to 1" of lift in front and over 2" in back over stock are also possible
• Threaded collars allow easy and precise front & rear vehicle height adjustments
• Spring rates are 29% stiffer in front and 13% softer in the rear for increased predictability and compliancy
• Substantial reduction in body roll
• Dinan-spec progressive bump stops improve ride quality at lowered ride heights
• Included suspension packers allow adjustment of bump-stop clearance to fine-tune handling and comfort
• Components are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and black anodized for a sporty appearance as well as corrosion protection
• Stock upper spring mounts are utilized as well as spring isolators for quiet operation

Swift Springs understands that not all springs are created equal. While many springs may share similar dimensions and spring rates, the manufacturing process and materials used are pivotal to their performance. Drawing upon years of experience and extensive research, Swift Springs has refined the spring manufacturing process to perfection. In their relentless pursuit of excellence, Swift Springs developed a proprietary steel alloy known as "HS5.TW." This material accomplishes the primary objectives Swift had in mind:

• Maintaining the most consistent spring rate throughout the stroke
• Providing the largest amount of stroke
• Ensuring the highest durability against spring height loss
• Offering the lightest weight

Since its establishment in 1997, Swift Springs has taken on a diverse array of tasks and applications, ranging from oval track and dirt racing to enthusiastic street driving. They have accumulated invaluable experience working with world-class race teams and drivers from around the globe. Given the varied demands they've encountered over the years, you can have full confidence in Swift Springs to deliver the perfect spring solution for any requirement.

Dinan Performance Springs are matched to your BMW's chassis and suspension components to deliver better handling and looks without sacrificing ride quality. Dinan BMW springs are carefully engineered to work within your car's suspension travel and to improve suspension geometry. Spring rates are slightly stiffer than stock and dialed in to reduce bodyroll. A stiffer suspension makes the car more fun to drive and the lower ride height improves the looks by reducing wheel-fender gap.

Dinan spring specs -

• F: -1/4" (6mm)

• R: -1/4" (6mm)

Fitment note: When used with stock shocks the Dinan Ride Quality Kit is strongly recommended. The Kit consists of shorter and stiffer bump stops and spring perches that work better with the lowered ride height of these springs. While not explicitly required, less than favorable ride quality and handling may result without them.

1999-2003 E39 BMW M5

Dinan uses the factory sway bar with this new bracket and a 21mm rear sway bar to balance the M5/M6 handling. Instead of the traditional larger sway bar Dinan has come up with this way of stiffening the stock bar. This has a number of advantages over a thicker aftermarket bar: lower cost, the bar does not have to be removed, no tradeoff in ride comfort.

Dinan sway bars are carefully engineered to match the driving dynamics of each BMW chassis. Dinan's research and development finds the ideal balance between improved handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. This set has been fine-tuned for the E90/E92 chassis to reduce bodyroll, improve steering and turn-in response, and reduce understeer. The front bar is hollow tubular steel for light weight with adjustable ends to dial in the handling characteristics. The rear bar is non-adjustable. These are the same sway bars used in Dinan's Stage 1 suspension and work best with Dinan shocks and springs or a similar sport suspension and wider rear tires.
