The Vorsteiner V FF 102 is a sharp-edged ten-spoke flow-forged wheel that looks fresh and aggressive under the latest BMW styling. These wheels stand out rather than blend in. The blade-style spokes are unique among factory BMW wheels that tend to follow the same Y-spoke theme. The Vorsteiner 102 wheel shares its styling with the more expensive forged Vorsteiner VSR-163 and VSC-103 wheels. The V-FF 102 instantly attracts attention and will not be lost in the crowd. The sizing and aggressive offsets cement this style as one of the best for the F10.

On our F10 M5 project car we experimented with several wheel designs and sizes. The tall flanks are begging for a large wheel that makes a dominating presence. Vorsteiner feels the same way and the VFF102 wheels are a knockout on the F10 with 20" and 21" sizes. Both sets come in 9.0" front and 10.5" rear width with the correct offsets that negate the need for spacers. The wheels sit right to the fender lip. The front wheels have a hint of concave dish and the rear wheels have a moderate concave inset. Sculpting of the wheel spokes ensures compatibility with most brake systems. These have been meticulously designed and engineered to give a strong, muscular, and enhanced stance without going over the edge.

Three gloss metallic colors are available to tie into your car's palette - Mercury Silver, Carbon Graphite, and Mystic Black. Each color can complement the rest of the trim on your car. Use the Mystic Black to tie in together with your satin black grilles and trim. Or the Mercury Silver can really pop when used on a black or grey body color and matte black trim.

The V-FF 102 is part of Vorsteiner's new Flow Forged wheel series. Until recently, their high quality wheel line was made up exclusively of forged alloy options whose fitment, quality and beauty set the bar for high end wheels. The Flow Forged wheels use a manufacturing process similar to casting but with the strength of a fully forged wheel. The final product is light weight but very strong and the V-FF wheels are fully tested and certified to rigorous safety standards. The manufacturing process is the latest in advanced wheel production but still less expensive than a fully forged wheel so you get all of the attributes of a forged monoblock wheel at a third of the price!

H&R's 20mm wheel spacers are Made in Germany and are TUV approved. H&R manufacturers their spacers from a super lightweight aluminum/magnesium alloy for excellent strength and also to save unsprung weight. The spacers are drilled for additional lightness and easy fitment. They are then hard anodized for durability. These are not low quality universal spacers - the bolt pattern, hub sizing, and other dimensions are designed to be used on BMW models only. This spacer has a larger mounting surface specifically designed for the larger mounting pad of F30 wheels.

To form such a thick blank APEX requires special equipment capable of 10,000 metric tons of pressure. This extreme pressure increases the strength of the aluminum by eliminating porosity and improving the grain structure. Many companies use 3rd-party blanks intended for non-motorsport wheels which can severely limit sizes, concavity, spoke design, and critical brake clearance. APEX designed their very own blank profiles from scratch to give us total control over the final product. One of the most noticeable features of the SM-10RS is its use of side-milling on both sides of each spoke, creating an I-beam effect. Any excess material that doesn’t add strength is carved out using a precision CNC ball cutter. Side-milling is often deemed cost-prohibitive by others, but for true performance without compromise, we believe it's essential. The SM-10RS is not just another style to choose from. APEX used Finite Element Analysis of bending loads to optimize spoke geometry for greater stiffness without increasing weight. The reality is that most enthusiasts and racers benefit far more from increased strength than they would from a small decrease in weight. The VS-5RE and the Enduro line as a whole was introduced to give the enthusiast community the choice to choose what's best for their application. In our pursuit of absolute strength, the Forged VS-5RE was given dramatically thicker spokes, our thickest ever Enduro Spec inner lip, and a substantially reinforced outer lip. When all put together, the VS-5RE is rated at an impressive 2100 lb max load. A major increase over its Sprint Line counterpart sitting at a 1600 lb load rating. To achieve this level of strength, our engineers added a considerable amount of material to the areas where it matters most. This does come with a bit of a weight penalty, however a host of weight saving measures have been implemented to minimize its effect. The reality is that most enthusiasts and racers benefit far more from increased strength than they would from a small decrease in weight. The VS-5RE and the Enduro line as a whole was introduced to give the enthusiast community the choice to choose what's best for their application. In our pursuit of absolute strength, the Forged VS-5RE was given dramatically thicker spokes, our thickest ever Enduro Spec inner lip, and a substantially reinforced outer lip. When all put together, the VS-5RE is rated at an impressive 2100 lb max load. A major increase over its Sprint Line counterpart sitting at a 1600 lb load rating. To achieve this level of strength, our engineers added a considerable amount of material to the areas where it matters most. This does come with a bit of a weight penalty, however a host of weight saving measures have been implemented to minimize its effect. Deep spoke scalloping is utilized to shave material from the sides of spokes without compromising strength. Outer lip pocketing, a feature only seen on the Enduro Line within the Apex catalog, does away with excess material on the outer lip between each spoke. Our aim is for the Enduro VS-5RE to become the wheel of choice for anyone who appreciates the benefit of strength and stiffness over small weight savings. One must ask themselves how much faster will they truly be by dropping a few pounds of rotating mass and is it worth the trade off of losing confidence that your wheels will hold up lap after lap. Wheels lacking in stiffness flex under load, leading to lost camber during demanding cornering. Ultra lightweight wheels look great on paper, but they could cost you in the form of a lost podium or high cost of replacement. Whether you’re a hardcore racer or an enthusiast who appreciates great engineering, the VS-5RE is the answer.
