Finally the answer to your E36 exhaust woes! Upgrade from your old, crusty or quiet exhaust that lacks the OOMPH you want to hear when stepping on the gas. Our crew at Turner have been describing this exhaust with words like “symphony” and “hearty” with its smooth and low frequency tone. This is the kind of exhaust we stand outside and listen to as our residential test vehicle rolls out from work heading off in the distance while singing the oh so sweet straight six sound.

Our new E36 cat back is a tribute to the E36 M3 in more ways than one. The exhaust features 90s styling exhaust tips to compliment the sharp yet rudimentary body lines. Just like the E36 our exhaust was designed to be raw, straight to the point, lightweight and timeless.

To accomplish these goals our engineers rev’d up their creativity and went straight to work. Adapting straight to the mid-pipes our engineers transformed the lackluster 2.0” tubing and stepped up to a true-dual 2.5” exhaust with an integrated x-pipe to smooth out the flow and fine tune the exhaust note just how we wanted. Towards the rear of the vehicle you will find a light-weight and perfectly spec’d muffler featuring fabricated sheet metal hangers, slash cut integrated tips and achieves a fine-tuned exhaust note.

Non-M Fitment:
?Although we designed this exhaust specifically for the M3 model we felt it was a shame to rob this exhaust opportunity from the Non-M E36 owners. Face it, every straight six deserves a sweet exhaust. If you or your fellow enthusiasts feel so inclined our exhaust can be fitted to all standard 6 cylinder E36s. ** For non-m E36s you will have to slightly bend the exhaust hangers to get perfect fitment in the non-m rear bumper/diffuser. **

Why the upgrade?

By now your E36 M3 is approaching 30 years of age and you have a few possible exhaust situations:

Take your N55 to the next level and show the S55 drivers who is boss with our Turner Race-Inspired Catback. This light weight and free flowing exhaust boasts a smooth, clean, and rowdy exhaust note. Although the N55 found in the F chassis of BMW features a loud "cold start" once the car is warmed up the exhaust lacks character and volume. The twin scroll turbo featured on your M2 does a great job of limiting the volume on the factory exhaust but we want to hear the exhaust! When you are shopping for an F87 M2 you have two options to choose from. Your choice can be the standard M2 with the N55 engine or the M2 Competition that comes equipped with the S55. The best part about either the competition or non-comp M2 is you are still getting the "M" suspension, characteristics and drive. From our experience there is not a big trade off between the two models that can justify the price difference. With the N55 you get a lighter weight and extremely capable weapon. Paired with an intake, tune, and the our lightweight exhaust the M2 is not a car to be messed with.

We set out to amplify the N55 M2 with a proper catback exhaust system. To accomplish this goal, our engineers increased flow, reduced your exhaust weight to a total of 28lbs, and delivered an exhaust system that captures the full unrestricted sound of the sonorous twin scroll turbo inline-6 N55 engine. The increase in flow is gained from true 3.0" 304 stainless steel front section that feeds into the straight-through free flowing rear section. We specifically designed this catback with flow in mind to ensure the exhaust would never be a restriction. Weight reduction is achieved by replacing the factory mufflers and resonators with straight through lightweight stainless for the most weight advantage possible. Nothing but the highest level of precision and quality through leading-edge product development technology including FARO laser scanning for reverse engineering and quality inspection, SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling, rapid prototyping utilizing our in-house 3D printer and rigorous long term product testing.

When we set out to build an exhaust for the BMW E46 323/328, we knew it needed to match how you drive and how you want your car to sound. We also know that while many drivers wish for an aggressive, head-turning exhaust note, they don’t always want the volume all the time. That’s why we engineered this lightweight Turner Motorsport performance exhaust system with a fully valved muffler, giving you the ability to switch between a refined, quiet tone and a loud, spirited sound at any moment.

Our new Turner Cat-Back Exhaust is the first valved rear section designed specifically for the E46 323/328. With the included remote controller, you can change your exhaust tone with a simple click. With the valve closed, the system delivers a smooth, deep, tasteful note for daily driving. Open the valve, and you unlock an aggressive, free-flowing exhaust tone that brings out the full character of the M52 engine, perfect for track days or anytime you want maximum sound and performance.

For maximum flow and durability, we built this system using dual 2.0" T304 stainless steel mid-pipes that bolt directly to your factory downpipes. If you have driven an S58 car, even in stock form it feels like the sky is the limit.(If you haven't driven one, we are not sure why you are even looking into this exhaust)

When your driving an S58 equipped car such as the G80 M3 you can put your foot to the floor and it feels like the car would keep going and going, possibly with no limit. The G80 driving experience is great but there is always room for improvement. if dropping over 40lbs from just your exhaust and the gain in flow alone aren't enough to sell you, no problem. From enhancing the exhaust with smoother flow paths and taking out the bulky and restrictive muffler we saw gains up to 10hp and 14lb of torque on the stock ecu with zero tuning. Now that there are options for plug and play tunes as well as unlocking your ECU for custom tuning there is a much larger upside for power improvements. You will have to find the other restrictions holding you back from more power because it wont be the exhausts fault, this is as free flowing as it gets.

Here at Turner our mission was to amplify the G80/G82 with a proper catback exhaust system. There is something about a cat-back exhaust that is just so good. Being able to unbolt and replace the entire visible exhaust gives you butterflies in your stomach. A fresh new exhaust and just knowing that things are about to get rowdy. This exhaust features twin 2.5" brushed pipes with flanges that bolt directly to your factory and aftermarket down-pipes. The dual 2.5" mid-pipes make their way toward the rear axle and converge into a single 3" exhaust section. The 3" exhaust section snakes through the rear section of the car making smooth dips and curves to make its way into a light-weight 3" turbo style muffler. Don't be fooled by the 135 muffler, the size is nothing but deceiving. The turbo-style muffler features an inner design that refines the exhaust note to perfection. An extraordinary mixture of both tone and volume. Paired with the 3" muffler is your choice of 3.5" exhaust tips that give your rear diffuser a sporty look that shouts performance.

Although both N54 and N55 share identical exhaust geometry, the N55 mid-pipes do not feature secondaries. Though the N55 cat-back is compatible with N54 downpipes this is not suggested. Supposedly this N55 catback sounds absolutely glorious on an N54, even with aftermarket downpipes.

This Supersprint performance exhaust is built from the Euro M5/M6 exhaust layout but fits the E24/E28 (see fitment notes below). It features oversized dual 50mm stainless steel pipes leading from the catalytic converter. This Supersprint system has a center resonator and rear muffler with free-flow designs for a sporty sound and less restriction to free up horsepower. Both systems are bolt-on to the stock factory catalytic converter (see fitment notes below) and use all of the stock hangers and gaskets. This makes for an excellent replacement exhaust system because the sound is such a great match to the M30 engine and retro cool that these cars have now. • 1988-1989 635 uses a 2-bolt flange on the stock cat section and that flange must be removed and replaced with the triangular 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137) and gaskets (p/n 18301723886). Or remove the 3-bolt flanges from the Supersprint and re-weld the old 2-bolt flanges from the stock US resonator section.
• 1985-1989 M5/M6 requires the complete Supersprint exhaust

Fitment Note 1 (flanges):
1982-1988 635, 1984-1988 535 models should have a stock 3-bolt flange where the center resonator and front catalytic converter meet. This Supersprint system is a direct bolt-on replacement to this system.
1988-1989 635 BMW changed the center resonator and cat flanges from a 3-bolt triangle to a 2-bolt diamond-shaped flange. The Supersprint center resonator uses the 3-bolt flange. So you must either cut off the 3-bolt flange and reinstall the original 2-bolt flange. Or cut the 2-bolt flange from the cat and weld on a new 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137 and gaskets p/n 18301723886, available separately).

Fitment Note 2 (hangers):
This system was originally designed for the Euro E24/E28 which does not have the rear hanger attachment over the tips like on a US model (you will need the Euro hanger setup). In addition the tips are shorter on the Euro muffler since the Euro bumpers do not extend as far as the US bumpers. So the tips on this muffler will sit just past the valance but tucked far under the bumper.
