BMW Engine Parts

The M62tu engine performs in great ways from the factory, offering plenty of power when you need it in the larger luxury chassis. The downside this engine also suffers from the weak vanos seals from the factory that slowly fail often times before even reaching 100K miles. ECS now offers a product line of upgraded seal that will by far outlast the OE seal found even in replacement units. The rebuild of these units is actually an easy job, the hard part on the M62tu is crimping the housing back together, this tool allows for a proper crimping that won't damage other areas of the unit. Some competition says it's ok if the test pins on this unit bend from crimping, this may not be a big deal but the reason we chose to offer the ECS tool was because it's designed to crimp this back together with no damage to the unit.

This item fits the following BMWs:
1999-2001  E38 BMW  740i 740il
1999-2003  E39 BMW  540i
1999-2003  E53 BMW  X5 4.4i X5 4.6is

If you're not sure if your Vanos seals are bad then the only question you need to answer is if you've replaced them. Every unit from the factory came with the same failure prone o-rings and seals, even the re-manufactured units you can still get today. The only real fix is by replacing the seals and o-rings with material that is built to last in the oiled, extreme temperature environment found in these kits.

A premium product replacement with easy to follow instructions makes rebuilding your Vanos unit a must. Even thought the power loss is barely felt it's the opposite result once you replace the seals, every car that gets rebuilt ends up wowing the customer and all of them saying they didn't realize what they lost.

There are a number of symptoms that will plague your car as a result of these failing seals such as erratic idle, engine hesitation, stalling, and increased fuel consumption to name a few. If you've been chasing down any of these symptoms with no fix then this could be your issue.

Long lasting alternative for sealing plate 11367831906. This sealing flange is located between the VAN0S adjusting unit and the VAN0S solenoid on the S54 engine. It can be the source of oil leaks and should be replaced when the the VAN0S solenoid is.

This item fits the following BMWs:
2001-2006 E46 BMW M3
2001-2002 Z3 BMW M Roadster M Coupe (S54)

ECS Tuning Performance Kevlar reinforced belts offer enhanced durability and reliability for your Mini's engine. These belts are designed with Kevlar reinforcement, providing greater resistance to elongation over time and offering superior shock and impact resistance compared to OEM belts.

• Enhanced durability and reliability
• Reduced elongation over time, minimizing belt adjustment needs
• Higher shock and impact resistance
• Rigorously tested for tensile strength, elongation, hardness, temperature, oil resistance, and flex performance

Modern emission regulations require a closed PCV/Breather system for cleaner operation. However, inefficient oil particle capture can lead to excessive oil vapor ingestion, causing carbon buildup, reduced performance, and fuel economy. ECS Tuning's updated ECS Baffled Oil Catch Can, now with an easy-to-empty 1/4" drain fitting, is engineered to collect toxic blow-by gases, minimize carbon deposits, and reduce oil contamination within engine oil. Recirculating oil vapor ensures emissions compliance without venting to the atmosphere.

• Key Features:
• Highly Efficient Oil Separator: Strategically positioned 4 chamber baffle system maximizes oil/air separation and minimizes oil droplets in the intake tract.
• Integrated Dipstick: Knurled and black anodized oil dipstick simplifies oil volume inspection.
• Reservoir: Available in 6oz or 8oz capacity with a 1/4" NPT drain plug fitting.
• Serviceable: Easily removable baffle plates and drain plug for cleaning.
• Easy/Customizable Installation: Combine with the ECS Universal Bracket Kit for simplified installation and adjustable mounting locations.
• Leak-Free Fittings: Machined -10AN ORB (O-Ring Boss) fittings available for secure connections (fittings sold separately).

Enhance Your Mini's Drivetrain Longevity with ECS Tuning's Magnetic Plugs

Safeguard your Mini's drivetrain by using ECS Tuning's Magnetic Plugs, meticulously designed to eliminate abrasive metal particles from your fluid. These plugs, featuring permanent magnets, effectively attract and retain tiny abrasive and ferrous metal particles, preventing their circulation within the lubrication systems.

Various conditions, including normal wear of moving parts, inadequate post-machining flushing, casting flaws, or stress-induced component breakdown, can introduce metal particles. ECS Tuning's Magnetic Plugs are the solution, ensuring protection for crucial drivetrain components by capturing these particles.

• Removes abrasive metal particles for improved drivetrain longevity
• Engineered with permanent magnets for effective particle capture
• Guards against wear caused by metal particles in the lubrication system
• Includes 10 copper crush washers for replacement during oil service
