E9X M3 Supersprint Sport Catalytic Converters with Test Pipes are designed to replace the stock primary and secondary catalytic converters with high flow sport cats. With eliminating one set of cats and enlarging the piping the improved flow will increase performance and throttle response as well as increase sound and reduce weight. Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

Fitment Note: These sport cats were designed to be used only with the Supersprint section 2 x-pipe (p/n 980713) and Supersprint rear mufflers. Custom fabrication by an exhaust professional will be required to use these without the Supersprint exhaust sections. These cats include post-cat O2 sensor ports allowing for a complete installation by extending your original post-cat O2 sensors to the new location. Special Race software or module may still be required to keep the SES light and fault codes from appearing.

Here the factory tubes are crushed in size and joined in narrow housing ahead of the catalytic converters. Supersprint has designed a fully tubular header and collector system that is fully mandrel bent and makes no compromises. They even patented the design. This Supersprint performance exhaust is built from the Euro exhaust layout. It features oversized dual 50mm stainless steel pipes leading from the catalytic converter. This Supersprint system has a center resonator and rear muffler with free-flow designs for a sporty sound and less restriction to free up horsepower. The sound is such a great match to the M88/S38 engine and retro cool that these cars have now. It's a classic growl and throaty sound without being overly aggressive. We've had nothing but compliments on the sound from this system. The previous mild steel versions have been discontinued - this system is now 100% T304 stainless steel!

Fitment Notes: This system is not a direct fit with the US catalytic converter section. The factory system is connected with 2-bolt flanges but the Supersprint Euro system is based on the Euro 3-bolt flanges. The US cat section flanges must be removed and replaced with the triangular 3-bolt flange (BMW p/n 18111178137) and gaskets (p/n 18301723886). Or, conversely, remove the 3-bolt flanges from the Supersprint and re-weld the old 2-bolt flanges from the stock resonator section.

Supersprint sport cats for the M5 V8 are designed to work with their performance headers and replace the stock main cats. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint merge collectors and then to a Supersprint or stock section 2. Supersprint tubular long-tube headers for the 96-99 328i and M3 that works with the factory secondary air pump. These use the same tubular header design of the OBD-I Supersprint header but with the necessary ports for the secondary air injection so you won't need an air pump delete kit or special software. The factory 35i exhaust system is pretty wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converter. Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

This Supersprint section 2 replaces the center resonator in the 128i exhaust. By deleting resonators you can gain a little more volume from the exhaust. This is especially good if you're a fan of the stock exhaust sound and just want to hear more of it. And with less restriction there is a slight horsepower and torque gain as well! This pipe fits best with the Supersprint rear muffler but may fit with other mufflers with professional installation.

This Euro center resonator replaces a stock European-spec center resonator or US/Euro catalytic converter section. The Supersprint exhaust piping is 60mm in diameter - 10mm larger in each pipe than a standard US exhaust system. This larger sizing helps to improve exhaust flow which frees up horsepower from the engine. Instead of working to push exhaust gas through small pipes the exhaust gas flows easier so the engine doesn't have to work as hard. Now constructed with 409 stainless steel piping!
The Supersprint Euro center resontor replaces a stock BMW Euro M3 center resonator OR requires the full Supersprint Euro headers and Euro rear muffler. For the best flow with supercharging or intricate intake kits, the Euro system works best!

Supersprint makes one of the nicest, highest quality performance exhausts for the E36 M3 that we have seen.
