This is the original Supersprint street rear muffler for the E46 M3. It's a direct replacement for the stock rear muffler but with less restriction and better flow. This exhaust is not overly loud (conforming to European noise restrictions) and no drone but is larger and heavier than the other Supersprint mufflers. It makes a deeper tone than with slightly more rasp than the stock system.

This Supersprint front section deletes the stock front resonator on the 2004-2010 E60 545i and 550i models. The factory exhaust has two very large resonators to dampen exhaust noise so if you want a little more rip and growl this is a direct replacement for the first resonator that is bolted to the headers and then clamped with section 2 of the exhaust.

The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

Looking to elevate the acoustics of your X3 M40i / X4 M40i with an exhaust system that not only offers a much-improved sound while retaining the flexibility associated with valves, but also raises the eye appeal beyond the mundane? Look no further than the Dinan valved cat-back to meet all your needs… and then some!
The full cat-back requires no cutting and utilizes factory mounting locations that allow the Dinan exhaust system to be a straightforward and painless install. Fabricated from brushed 100% T304 stainless steel, TIG welded, and free of hydroformed pipe, the upgraded system is also a marked improvement from its predecessor - both in terms of material/construction as well as in overall looks. The most glaring change being the replacement of the OEM dual slip tips in favor of an M-inspired quad tip configuration. Despite the limited room, Dinan was determined to offer four individually functioning pathways/tips and not lessen the representation with Y-tips or other gimmickry. The result is a proper quad setup furnished with cavity covering 3.75-inch (95mm) tips in either black ceramic or polished stainless ensuring the system can be appreciated even before it is heard.
While looks are important, the auditory advantages are what any enthusiast is truly after with an exhaust system, and the Dinan offering for the G01/G02 M40i platform delivers in spades. For not only aural enhancement via the elimination of the central collector/resonator, but also weight savings and simplicity. The stock single-to-dual pipe setup has been abandoned in favor of an enlarged, straight, unrestricted, and freer-flowing single pipe system. The no-nonsense design allows versatility in volume levels with the retained factory valve functionality. Go from refined when cruising (low RPM’s) to rowdy when in it (high RPM’s), with ease. Or better yet, pair the system with an exhaust valve remote and have full control of elevating or reducing the sound! When open, the system behaves as a straight pipe solution that promotes maximum flow and volume for an exhilarating and forceful chorus. When the valve is closed, however, exhaust gases are wholly redirected through the muffler and emit more tempered vocals acceptable for even the most sensitive ears. It is the perfect blend of civility when cruising or the full spectrum of auditory delight when in the throttle. No matter the situation, the Dinan valved cat-back exhaust system is the answer for the discerning enthusiast looking for sound without sacrifice.

After Supersprint headers is the E38 section 1 exhaust. The stock section 1 contains a set of restrictive catalytic converters. For off-road or competition use Supersprint offers cat-delete Test Pipes or sport metallic catalytic converters. With improved flow from larger piping and less-restrictive cat performance and throttle response will increase as well as increase sound and reduced weight. The straight-flow cat design allows much better flow than the stock cats, giving a significant horsepower and torque gain and a throaty sound. Supersprint section 1 are a direct fit to Supersprint headers but will not fit with stock exhaust manifolds. A Supersprint section 2 is recommended after these.

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.

This is a race exhaust system which deletes stock cats or uses sport catalyzers designed for maximum flow while still reducing vehicle emissions. This part alters or deletes the emissions equipment on your car, and may not meet emissions standards in all states. Supersprint's classic sound for the E30 M3 produces a ripping, Motorsport-inspired wail, especially when combined with the center resonator section. This rear muffler is a slip on cat-back system in a new stainless steel design (the old material was a coated mild steel). Rear muffler alone will give you an excellent hair-raising exhaust note that won't be mistaken for anything but an S14.

A new oxygen sensor can improve driveability and lengthen engine life. Ultimately, you achieve a smoother running engine that is more fuel efficient. Feedback from the oxygen sensor provides closed-loop control of the injected quantity of fuel for optimum air-fuel mixture, enabling virtually complete combustion to take place. Contaminants in gas and certain atmospheric conditions can drastically shorten the life of any oxygen sensor, therefore they should be checked with every periodic maintenance and changed if necessary.

Dinan sport mufflers are designed to compliment the M5 and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Dinan engineers their exhausts to sound great and be a natural fit to the character of the car as well as produce more power and torque. Four 3.5" stainless tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. Dinan uses only 304 stainless steel in their systems for the maximum corrosion protection. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. This tuned resonator section replaces the factory resonator and works with the Supersprint muffler for a new, more aggressive, but still tame, exhaust note. The resonator is tuned along with the rest of the exhaust to give a more sporty sound than the factory 128i resonator but still meet European noise regulations. If you want more sound after this, there is a resonator-delete pipe available as well.

These tuned resonators replace the factory resonator in section 2 of the exhaust. Supersprint also offers this section without any resonator at all. But if noise and volume is a strong consideration for you then using resonators is a good idea. If you were building a track car with headers and no cats then resonators will help keep noise levels low. This section is 309 stainless steel and 70mm diameter pipes (a little bigger than the factory size) so this piece will flow better and be a little louder than the factory resonator.
